Just as I did as Mayor, I would review each budget line and determine if taxpayer dollars should be spent. I believe taxpayer dollars should only be spent if it's constitutional; if it reduces the size and scope of government; and it should lessen, not raise the tax burden on Georgians.

I believe health care should be patient-centered, patient-driven. I oppose Medicare-for-All and support market-based reforms that empower individuals to control their health care decisions. I support employer-based health care and we should examine health insurance that is portable so that an employee can take their coverage with them from job to job and in and out of the labor market. I do not favor government mandates, and if we can get government out of the way and cut red tape and regulations, Georgians will have better health insurance options.

As mayor of Franklin Springs, Georgia for the last 10 years, I’ve seen what good can be done for a community when there is a team that provides strong leadership. In Franklin Springs, we eliminated debt, increased salaries for city employees and provided health, life, and cancer insurance. We updated our water and sewer infrastructure, repaired our roads and invested in state-of-the-art equipment for our police and fire departments. We did all of this while cutting taxes and our city is now in strong financial shape. I am pro-life, pro-gun and a devout Christian conservative.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am the former Mayor of Franklin Springs, Georgia, having served my community for the last 10 years. As Mayor, eliminated debt, updated roads and infrastructure, and improved city services—all while cutting taxes. I am also a small businessman, having started and built my business from the ground up. I've signed the front and the back of paychecks so I understand what it means to meet a payroll and create jobs.

Regarding Question 21. I believe teachers should be allowed to carry guns in school with proper training from a certified instructor. I’ll work each day to keep Georgia the best state in the nation to do business so there are jobs and opportunities for our North Georgia communities. I’ll protect our agriculture interests, work to improve our roads and infrastructure and prioritize education for Georgia’s students. I’m a Christian conservative, and I’m strongly pro-life, pro-gun and anti-tax. I support our law enforcement and first responders. When in Atlanta, I will always have Georgia’s 50th State Senate District on my mind and will consistently vote to put this district’s needs first. I'm running for the State Senate to ensure that our values and priorities have a conservative voice in Atlanta. I’ll defend our 2nd Amendment rights, protect life, grow jobs, support our local schools and stand up for our farmers
