QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None, except when mother's life is endangered.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Finding and reducing waste is a constant effort when you are talking about a beauracracy. The state budget should be analyzed each and every year to address fraud, waste, and abuse like any successful company also does. While I appreciate cutting the budget where possible I am most concerned about restoring funding for critical services like education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Freedom of religion is an important founding principle in our country.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Republicans at the state level are bringing common sense solutions to healthcare that reduce cost, increase access to quality care, and protect more Georgians. They have done so without drastically raising taxes or risking private healthcare plans that so many Georgians rely on. I will continue to support efforts like expanding Medicaid for pregnant women and their newborns, reducing prescription drug prices, and ending surprise medical billing. We cannot afford risky, single-payer policies that have been proven they do not work. There are many innovative solutions out there. We must find them and be willing to invest in them.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
As an immigrant myself I believe everyone who is a law abiding citizen should have the chance to come to this country legally.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian, a Christ follower. The word of God is my ultimate source of guidance for all decisions in life.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
While I consider myself a common sense conservative, I believe that my work on the John’s Creek City Council proves that I have always put politics aside to achieve great things for our community. I am proud of the bridges I have helped build within one of the most diverse communities in our state. Johns Creek has remained one of the best places to live in Georgia during my time on the City Council. We have shown that you can keep taxes low while still making big investments in public safety, education, and quality of life. These should not be partisan issues and we need leaders who have proven they will put partisanship aside to do what is right.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Like so many generations before me, I came to this country with very little in my pocket and through hard work I was able to succeed. That is the beauty of our country and our state. Anyone who is willing to put in the work has a chance to succeed. I have run a business through good times and bad. I know what it takes for Johns Creek and for Georgia to remain #1 for business. I have also served our community on the City Council and understand how to get things done. I know how to build bridges within a diverse community. And I have shown that I will put partisanship aside to do what is right. You can look at what I have done, not just what I have said.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No I have not.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I look forward to talking with each and every one of you in order to earn your vote. Please call me on my personal cell if you would like to talk more about where I stand on the issues: 770-527-3298
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Criminals do not abide by restrictions on gun ownership. That is what makes them dangerous to our community. New restrictions only place more of a burden on law abiding gun owners who are not part of the problem. Families should have the ability to defend themselves against the bad guys who do not care what restrictions we have in place.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
First, we must continue to find ways to combat the coronavirus and ensure we are better prepared for the next pandemic. I look forward to working with other leaders to find solutions so that what has happened this year does not happen again. Second, we must find ways to rebuild out economy. Families and businesses have been devastated and many will take years to recover without adequate help. We will need to look for ways to ease their burden and get folks back to work. One idea that has been proposed in the senate is the Economic Recovery Act that would make the entire state and opportunity zone which would qualify certain businesses for tax credits if they hire workers. I look forward to working with Senator Beach to pass this legislation. Third, I would like to see our education funding restored. While the state had to make difficult budget cuts this year because of the pandemic, we should restore funding to education as soon as possible.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism and discrimination is unacceptable in our society. I am proud of Republicans who would vote to pass the historic Hate Crimes bill and other bills similar in nature to help address discrimination and violence in our state.
