QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
This decision should be made among the mother, father and doctor on a case by case basis depending on the viability of the child and the life of the mother.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
A new social social security system must be devised and implemented for future generations. Current retirees and seniors relying on their social security benefits must not be impacted. This new system will require realistic funding projections, analysis and a visionary concept that does not rely solely, if at all, on a government run program funded with your tax dollars. The government needs to emphasize, support and promote individual responsibility for retirement. I will be a proponent for self reliance and financial independence of all individuals. This can be accomplished by reducing and eliminating the burden of government regulations and restrictions on your freedom.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Review the necessity and funding requirements of several federal agencies to include the Department of Education. I would cut federal funding to non-profit organizations, social programs that are detrimental to the foundation of a strong family and reform the federal procurement system. The federal government needs to support a free market economy and competition. I will support the line item veto.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
I do not support taxpayers being required to pay off student loans.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." The government shall not establish a national religion nor will it prevent worshiping of a religion. Separation of church and state does not mean freedom from religion.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We need comprehensive healthcare reform that benefits the people and not increases government regulations and control. As a nation we require a robust healthcare system; doctors, nurses, medical facilities, equipment and pharmaceuticals that are available and truly affordable to individuals and small business. We need insurance companies to provide effective coverage with competitive pricing. Government bureaucracy cannot control healthcare. Medical decisions must be made by medical professionals. Individuals and their doctors should be in control of their own care. Individuals should be able to select the coverage they need and know what they are paying for with itemized bills.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We must uphold a firm America first foreign policy and maintain the strongest military that defends our national security interests throughout the world against all enemies to ourselves and our partnering allies.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Neutral
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration must be regulated and enforced to the benefit of American citizens. Immigration laws are designed to protect our country and our citizen’s health, welfare and businesses. Immigration allocations must be determined to augment our American workforce not replace them. The law must be enforced! Controlling our borders, supporting the Border Patrol and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency is imperative. The United States is a sovereign country and must not allow open borders.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God, Jesus Christ, read the Bible and follow the Ten Commandments.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Campaign website, previous campaign materials and public statements.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
As a former Marine Corps intelligence officer for over 15 years, a government contractor in support of the Department of Defense and a practicing attorney, I understand the requirements of a strong national defense and a secure border. Law and order is necessary for a nation to be free and continue as a civil society. Domestic violence is a threat to our national security and we must partner with our police agencies to maintain peace in our communities and provide an environment for prosperity for our businesses and all individuals. As a U.S. Senator I will author and sponsor legislation to provide for the safety and well being of all Americans. I will uphold my oath of office and provide for a fair and just legal system under our U.S. Constitution for all Americans.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: states, "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Restrictions are an infringement on your Constitutional rights.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Restore Law and Order. We must enforce our laws to protect our citizen's lives and property, a main function of government. I will support our police and their funding requirements. Our constitutional rights must be protected and anarchy in the streets must be prevented. 2. Economic growth and job creation. Restore our economy as soon as possible and further reduce unemployment below 2019 levels. This will be achieved by further reduction of government regulations on small businesses. 3.Healthcare must be truly affordable for individuals and small businesses. We need insurance companies to provide effective coverage and competitive pricing. Government bureaucracy cannot control healthcare, medical decisions must be made by medical professionals. Individuals should be able to select the coverage they need and know what they are paying for with itemized bills.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes, racism is a threat to domestic security. Identity politics is detrimental to our domestic and national security. The old adage applies today, "divide and conquer." The threat to our nation is from within our population. We must unite as Americans and fight for freedom and justice for all as established by our Declaration of Independence and our U.S. Constitution.
