What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It simply means that the federal government cannot sanction an official religion. This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The American Patriots had escaped religious persecution and wanted the freedom to worship God outside the traditions of the Church of England. The 1st amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... God has been removed from our public schools and now courthouses and public buildings are under attack by far left groups. This is contrary to the principles laid out in the first amendment. \\\\

The American government allows more legal immigrants than any nation on earth. As long as legal immigrants have a clean bill of health, they can come from any nation. However, I believe anyone entering this country illegally should be prevented from entering or deported if found in the U.S. illegally.

I am a born again christian, and I believe that scripture is the infallible Word of God. I also believe that it is the daily study of God's Word that enables the believer to know God's plan for their life.

There is very little public information on my values, however I have been a registered republican for over 20 years, and have attended bible preaching churches for over 30 years. As a former history teacher, I have a solid understanding of the Constitution and recognize that we are straying far from the limited government intended by the Founding Fathers.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I believe any citizen who has the ability to articulate a clear message that helps explain their understanding of the role of government as defined in the Constitution is qualified. We have become a nation of career politicians and it has compromised the limited government provided for and reinforced by the 10th amendment to the Constitution. That being said I was a secondary education major with an area of concentration in social studies. I was social studies department chair at Wilson Area High School for 7 years and taught both Civics (at the 8th grade level) and American History at the high school level.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a Christian conservative with a passion for the Constitution and the freedoms it provides. As government grows, freedoms erode. Our nation is quickly becoming dependent on government to the point where now presidential candidates are promising free healthcare and college education among many other promises that can't be kept. I am running to speak the truth, not make promises. I recognize that government must be more efficient and my pledge is to look for waste in Harrisburg and give relief to the Pennsylvania taxpayer. H.L. Mencken an early 20th century journalist said it best when he wrote,"The urge to save humanity is almost always a false-face for the urge to rule it."

The second amendment was added to the Constitution as a guard against an overreaching, tyrannical government. The Patriots of the revolution understood that an armed populace would always be a guard against that possibility. Restricting gun ownership is contrary to the original intent of the founders.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Property tax relief. Table games were brought into the state of Pennsylvania with the promise of lowering property taxes. We have since expanded to full casino gambling. The tax revenue from gambling is distributed in block grants to municipalities, but relief never reached, "We the people". I will take a close look at tax revenue collected from legalized gambling in PA and design real property tax relief with a revenue neutral proposal that would completely eliminate school property taxes. Education reform. Enhance support for law enforcement.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No it is not. Media outlets magnify racial division to portray a nation divided far more than it actually is. The great majority of US citizens are accepting of all races. I believe we as Americans have far more in common than things that divide.
