QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should not be allowed. We used to allow for an exception where the life of the mother might be at risk, but with modern medical technology this is an extreme rarity, and might become an excuse in too many cases.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security should not be insolvent, but since LBJ, congress has raided the Social Security trust fund for other purposes. This must be treated as a part of the National Debt and have a priority placed on it. Congress must immediately cut spending, particularly on non-SS entitlements, to well below deficit levels and allocate savings to paying down the debt and a gradual repayment of funds stolen from Social Security. In the interim, a temporary increase in the retirement age or slight reduction in benefits may be necessary to keep the system solvent.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The largest area of government spending by far is entitlements. These need to be sharply reduced - with the exception of Social Security which people have specifically paid for.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None. I believe that student loans should be market-driven, with availability and interest rates dependent on the likelihood of a graduate being able to earn a living and repay said loans within ten years via work dependent on the degree being sought. This ultimately will lead to lower tuition costs and more useful degree programs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of Church and State means that that there can be no Official, Government-sanctioned religious denomination, and no exclusive control of the strings of government by any one denomination. It does NOT mean freedom FROM religion with removal of all religious expression from public life as the atheists seem to insist.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support minimizing the role of the Federal Government with respect to healthcare. Government involvement tends to make everything less efficient and more costly. A few common-sense measures can make private insurance more competitive and affordable: 1. Repeal Obamacare and all of its mandates. This will allow people to buy only the coverage that they need. 2. Permit interstate operation of health insurers to improve competition across markets.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

1. Declare the Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization 2. Review all foreign-aid funding and stop it where it is found to be benefiting terrorist orgs or state sponsors of terrorism 3. Cease all government funding for the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR), as well as individual mosques and foundations started under the 0bama administration 4. Continue and intensify sanctions against Iran as the number one sponsor of state-sanctioned terrorism.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The U.S. should re-impose strict limits on immigration. Only those who have applied legally and truthfully should be admitted, and only when based on merit. They must be economically productive, and unlikely to rely on public benefits at any time. Also, all immigrants must pass a health screening.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes that we are engaged not only in a culture war, but a spiritual one also. We must confront evil whenever we encounter it.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please refer to my website at https://mvga.us/on-the-issues/ for my public positions on a variety of issues. I am a survivor of communism, and my family and I literally risked our lives to escape it. I cannot stand by and let socialism and communism take over in America too! Communism does not allow religious liberty.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

None.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have broad business, technical, and leadership experience which I believe will be beneficial to the people of the 10th District. I am not a career politician, not am I likely to become one. I do not crave power, nor easily align myself with those who do. I simply want to represent the people of my district, and help protect the Exceptional America which became my new home after fleeing communist Viet Nam. I see serving in Congress as an opportunity to "give back" to the country which gave me and my family a second chance!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The current level of criminal background check including a check of mental health records is sufficient for purchasing, owning, and carrying a firearm and ammunition. There should be no other obstacle for a law-abiding citizen to own a pistol, rifle, shotgun, or blade of his or her choosing.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I can name more than three offhand: 1. Clarify and restore constitutional protections 2. Stop abortion - promote adoption 3. Reduce burdensome regulation 4. Repeal Obamacare 5. Balance the budget 6. Lower individual taxes 7. Terminate the Patriot Act

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism was largely conquered and almost unheard of on any significant scale in the early 2000s. Barak Obama artificially used it to create division and new victim classes via Alinsky tactics during his second term.
