QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life of the Mother - as determined by family

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Indiana must control the rapid growth of Medicaid spending while protecting care for seniors, children, people with disabilities, and those truly in need.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means the government should never establish or favor one religion over another; every American should be free to practice their faith without government interference. At the same time, I do not believe the Constitution requires people of faith to leave their values at the door when they enter public service. My faith shapes my character, my integrity, and my commitment to serving others.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would reform ERISA by narrowing federal preemption, giving states greater freedom to innovate and regulate their healthcare markets, while removing barriers that limit competition and drive up costs.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I support legal immigration and believe the United States should welcome individuals who follow our immigration laws, respect the rule of law, and do not have a serious criminal record or pose a threat to public safety. Our immigration system should be fair, efficient, and secure, ensuring that those who follow the legal process have the opportunity to pursue the American dream while protecting our nation's borders and the safety of its citizens.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

My Christian faith teaches me that every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, respect, and equal treatment. No one should face discrimination because of who they are. That is why I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression as protected classes under nondiscrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in salvation through faith and have a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My faith guides me to live with compassion, humility, integrity, and love for others.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I do not believe racism, broadly defined is a domestic security threat. It is often politicized to divide and stir resentment. I am concerned, however, by any effort, including one based on Sharia or another religious code, to replace or override the Constitution or American law. Any concerns should be evaluated using credible evidence and specific actions, without discriminating. Genuine threats should be addressed based on conduct, not race, religion, or identity.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My legislative voting record is publicly available through the Indiana General Assembly website. Constituents can review my votes, bills I have authored and sponsored, committee assignments, and legislative activity by visiting my legislator page on the Indiana General Assembly website: https://iga.in.gov. The Indiana General Assembly maintains these official public records to provide transparency and accountability to the citizens of Indiana.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I believe experience is measured not only by education, but by a proven record of serving others and delivering results. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have spent my career making complex decisions, solving problems, and advocating for patients and families. My work in mental health has given me firsthand insight into the challenges facing Hoosiers and the importance of compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making. As an adjunct professor, I have the privilege of educating and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, reinforcing my commitment to lifelong learning, leadership, and service. Before serving in the legislature, I worked in manufacturing and owned small businesses, experiences that gave me a deep appreciation for hard work, personal responsibility, and the challenges facing working families and job creators. As your State Representative, I have built strong relationships across state and local government, worked to advance practical, commonsense solutions, and remained accessible and responsive to the people I represent. I am committed to putting constituents ahead of politics and delivering results that strengthen our communities. My combined experience in healthcare, higher education, business, and public service has prepared me to continue providing thoughtful, effective, and accountable leadership for our district.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Public service has never been about a title for me it has always been about serving people. I believe leadership begins with listening, showing up, and doing the work, even when no one is watching. I also believe an informed constituency is essential to a strong democracy. That is why I make it a priority to educate constituents about legislation, state government, and the issues that affect our community so they can make informed decisions and have a meaningful voice in the process. I will continue to be accessible, transparent, and focused on practical solutions that improve the lives of the people I am honored to represent.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

I believe local school districts should have the option to allow qualified teachers or staff to carry firearms if they choose. However, anyone carrying a firearm in a school should be required to complete comprehensive training and certification that goes well beyond a standard handgun permit. Without the proper training, a firearm could create additional risks rather than improve safety. Student safety must always come first.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I strongly support the Second Amendment and the constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. At the same time, we must recognize that violence and untreated mental illness are serious issues that require attention. Rather than imposing additional restrictions on responsible gun owners, we should focus on enforcing existing laws, improving access to mental health care, ensuring due process, and holding violent offenders accountable. Protecting constitutional rights and prot

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

At this time, I do not support the legalization of recreational marijuana. Before considering legalization, we need reliable, scientifically validated methods to determine whether someone is impaired while driving, operating heavy equipment, or performing safety-sensitive jobs. Just as we have objective standards for alcohol impairment, we should have comparable tools for marijuana to protect public safety. Until those safeguards are in place, I believe public safety must come first.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Some of the legislative issues I am working on include: Consumer Choice in Electricity – Supporting policies that increase competition, expand consumer choice, and promote affordable, reliable energy for Hoosiers. Improving Court Access for Child Services – Working to strengthen collaboration between the courts and the Department of Child Services to better protect vulnerable children and improve outcomes for families. Modernizing APRN Practice – Leading efforts to eliminate unnecessary collaborative practice agreement requirements for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, expanding access to healthcare, improving affordability for patients, particularly in underserved communities, while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
