OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We need to cut Government waste and duplicity of services.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It is the foundational principle that secures the rights and privileges of all citizens under a government and ensures that both government and church function according to their God-given roles.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to re-emphasize the centrality of primary care, re-invent the primary care infrastructure to ensure we are doing more for health care prevention, and we desperately need to change the way primary care is delivered and payments are currently structured. I would enforce immigration laws, and reduce legal immigration to ensure our healthcare funding is going for U.S. Citizens. I would allow U.S.Citizens to purchase limited "major medical" insurance to pay for medical treatment for severe illnesses and accidents. I would let people choose cheaper options that would let them pay for routine doctor visits and tests out of pocket. And, I would work to increase medical education funding to increase the number of healthcare providers we have to increase accessibility.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

All unlawful immigration should be banned from the U.S. so we must continue to increase focus on enforcement at the border. We should not take any immigrants from countries that fail to meet U.S. standards on information sharing and passport regulations. Only legal immigrants and legal nonimmigrant visas should be accepted into the U.S.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I strongly believe in the bible and all concepts and beliefs therein.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My conservative views are posted on my candidate Facebook page Richard White for State Representative District 99 and my website, Whiteforstaterep.com

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been a successful businessman of over 44 years, I understand how to create jobs, and the role education plays in our global economy. I was awarded the U.S. Small Business Exporter of the Year, twice by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Governor Martha Lane Collins. In addition, I was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as Moderator for the White House Conference of Small Businesses and Advisory Committee on Lumber and Wood Products for Trade Policy matters with the U.S. Department of Commerce in trade negotiations

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Did not answer

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No restrictions, we just need better education and awareness of gun ownership responsibilities.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Stricter abortion laws to ensure the rights of the born and unborn. 2. Strengthening Kentucky's right to keep and bear arms 3. Bill to increase the per-student allocation sent to schools, money to implement the school safety act, and an increased investment in postsecondary education. 4. Amend the KRS 214.036, the Government should not be able to force vaccines on the people. 5. BR 130 will amend KRS 39A to create a system of checks and balances among three coequal branches of government, to ensure that never again are the citizens of the Commonwealth left without a voice during a state of emergency.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, racism is a threat to domestic security in the U.S. Race-based terrorism is now considered a national threat priority, and most race-based terrorism is fueled by some type of white supremacy. The FBI is now putting racist violence on the same threat level as foreign terrorist groups such as ISIS.
