OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life begins at conception and, therefore, abortion is morally wrong. Every human being, including an embryo or fetus, has the right to live and to reach their potential. In cases of abortion, the unborn child is denied this right. Adoption is a wonderful alternative to abortion. Abortion destroys human life and makes life seem disposable, impacting the quality and value of life of all Americans. God has a plan for each child's life and we must respect life at all stages.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Streamlining services, consolidating departments, eliminating ineffective programs, initiating responsible personnel compensation and benefit policies, and other efforts to maximize the performance of public funds are examples of necessary fiscally responsible public operations. Programs contributing to unsustainable growth in the budget should not consume taxpayer dollars that could benefit education and economic development.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state was created to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. I strongly support and pledge to defend freedom of religion. The U.S. was founded on Christian principles - America’s strength ultimately comes from our freedom and from our foundation of faith in this nation.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This is an issue close to my heart - as a single young professional, I have personally struggled to find healthcare coverage. I will work to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare without putting bureaucrats between patients and their healthcare providers. A large part of this is supporting policies that increase transparency to reduce the costs of treatment and prescriptions. I will also fight costly tax provisions that burden families and business owners.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

In this country, the rule of law guarantees equal treatment to every individual, including over one million immigrants to whom the U.S. grants permanent residence every year. That is why I oppose any form of amnesty for those who intentionally violate the law. Granting amnesty only rewards and encourages more law breaking. Reforming the immigration system to ensure that it is legal, safe, orderly, and humane is key. I support efforts to enforce the law, while welcoming immigrants who enter America through legal avenues.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My Christian faith is the most important thing in my life. I am blessed to have been raised in a Christ-centered household and to receive a Christian education at Lexington Christian Academy. I am far from perfect, however, I strive to live for Jesus daily and show others His love. When I am elected, I pledge to give God the glory and uphold His principles.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have been a registered Republican since I could vote and I volunteered with numerous conservative campaigns prior to that. At Wake Forest University, I was active in College Republicans. In law school, I was a member of the Federalist Society. I am Communications Chair for the Republican Party of Fayette County, member and former Vice President of Programs for Fayette County Republican Women's Club, and former Board Member of Women Republicans of Central Kentucky. I also serve on multiple committees for the National Federation of Republican Women. I am Christian, 100% Pro-Life, and 100% Pro-Second Amendment.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University, as well as a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication from Wake Forest University. I have lived in the 88th House District for the majority of my life and I recognize the diversity and unique needs of my home District. I am passionate and understand that I am running to work for my constituents - I will always listen to them and give 110%. As General Counsel for an industrial hemp company, I work in an agricultural field that is vital to Kentucky's economy. Additionally, I have been civically involved for many years, allowing me to learn the political landscape and understand what it takes to do this job.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am the right candidate for this job - I have Kentucky values and I will give the voters of the 88th House District the representation they deserve!

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I will make every effort to protect our constitutional right to bear arms. I am an active member of the NRA and I obtained my concealed carry permit years ago. I am a firm supporter of the recently passed Constitutional Carry legislation in Kentucky. I oppose the licensing of law-abiding gun owners and gun registration as a violation of the Second Amendment rights of honest, accountable Kentuckians. I support programs, which are already in place, that hold criminals accountable for their actions

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Reducing government spending; 2. Bills supporting the quickly changing industrial hemp industry and its evolving needs; and 3. Healthcare reform.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

In 2019, the head of Homeland Security said white supremacist ideology fuels some domestic terrorism. In February 2020, Director Wray said the FBI has made hate-fueled violence a top national security priority, on par with foreign terrorism. This statement came after a series of attacks were carried out on Jews, Latinos, and other minorities. This type of discrimination and extremism is a threat to our country and counteracts the unity of our diverse population. I am proud that Kentucky's core values are inclusive, however, we cannot turn a blind eye to these affronts to our nation.
