OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Did not answer

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Healthcare, redundant government, foreign aid, and improved efficiencies for the military.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Neutral

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Religious should be safe from government interference and the government should not endorse a particular religion, while recognizing and teaching that our values are based on Judeo-Christian traditions.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I think Medicaid should be limited to basic care and made available to anyone who wants it, not because I believe the government bas a responsibility to provide health care to all, but because it is a prudent approach considering we already provide it to low income, elderly, and veterans. It's the working middle class getting priced out. Coverage would be reduced and those who can afford it would still either pay out of pocket or use private insurance. Others would be encouraged to carry catastrophic care insurance.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Lots of people, including those with valuable skills, those who can prove they are financially self sufficient, those whose labor is needed for agricultural industries, etc. Those who don't follow our laws and who over stay their permission should lose the privilege to immigrate to the U.S.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Christian of Lutheran denomination.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Did not answer

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I began cultivating leadership traits in the Marine Corp, holding various leadership posts as a teenager, including infantry team leader, and a Helicopter Rope, Suspension and Traverse (HRST) Master. At 21 years old I lead an infantry team in the invasion of Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom. I put my self through school and became a lawyer and a prosecutor where I developed a true appreciation of law and order and developed a working understanding of the impact laws have on our citizens. I then stated a business where I work on the other side, defending people accused of crimes, developing an appreciation of both sides of the criminal justice system. I know what it takes to create and run a business. As a husband and a father of young children, I know the importance of passing our values to the next generation, and I take responsibility of being a husband and father seriously. These are experiences that will serve me well in office.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am a Christian, a Husband, a Father, a Marine, lawyer, and a business owner. I am extremely hard working. In my free time I shoot guns and garden. I have been married for 10 years. I have two kids, a son (4 yrs) and a daughter (7 mo.) I have 5 free range chickens who eat most of what I grow in my garden.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Neutral

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Public safety is best serve by having few, if any, restrictions on law abiding citizens. Violent criminals and felons should not own or possess firearms.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Reducing homelessness though institutionalization of those chronically unable to care for themselves, amending Marchman Act and Baker Act laws, to include chronic homelessness and to create new courts and prosecutors to handle the cases. Expand School Choice and include financial help to those who choose homeschool Increase school safety through uniform secure campus building plans for all new schools, armed law enforcement and teachers, and ensuring problem students are identified and properly dealt with.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism in any form is a treat to justice and peace. The United States is not systemically racist. It is the most free and least racist multi-cultural society that has ever existed. Teaching people, especially children, that they live in a racist society is a threat to domestic security in the United States.
