QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
There are no circumstances.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
The best way to protect social security and other safety nets that the government provides is to be responsible with government spending. No nation can withstand runaway spending, out of control debt, and a lack of growth in the revenue generating sectors. Building the nations economy, especially through manufacturing and high quality, good paying jobs and having a balanced, responsible budget are the best ways to ensure our nation can continue to provide the help that so many people desperately need.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Just like American families make hard choices every month as they match their income to their expenses, Representatives in Congress should be held responsible and accountable to doing the same with taxpayer dollars. I believe that it will require a comprehensive review of literally every area of government spending. There should also be a review of the acquisition and contract award process and other areas of bureaucracy that don't maximize return on taxpayer dollars spent.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
I believe in limited and specific situations where a student's commitment to federal service warrants some assistance with their student debt.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
I believe that the government should stay out of our churches. Separation of church and state means freedom to practice any religion, not that there should be no religion or beliefs in anything related to the government
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
While there is not enough space here to articulate a comprehensive healthcare plan for America, there are some simple principles that will guide us to continue to be the worlds leading healthcare system. These are the same principles that have made America great, they are freedom, competition, personal responsibility, and innovation. Moves to socialized medicine would stifle and destroy these powerful positive forces in American healthcare. Existing policy that has moved healthcare in that direction has resulted in higher cost, fewer options, and lower quality healthcare. Additionally, the center of power for decision making needs to shift back from the government and insurance agencies to the doctor and patient. Burdensome bureaucracy, rules, and red tape are also major issues with increasing costs and declining quality of care in America.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
The United States should act as a global leader for national responsibility and peace. The US should call on the leaders of Muslim nations that teach and advocate violence against other Muslims and other faiths to immediately cease. We should put political and financial pressure on despots that have weaponized the Islamic faith and used it to sustain and increase their own power.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People who follow the laws and the proper procedures who intend to have a productive life contributing to our nation and society, those who wish to become a part of the rich fabric of America and all the many blessing contained therein.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that there is a God and I am not him. I am a christian. I believe that peace and happiness on this earth is achieved by worshiping God in spirit and in truth and serving others.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
www.davidhillforok.com
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have run large businesses, small businesses and startups. I have been in manufacturing most of my career and have successfully competed on a global scale with countries like China. America can compete and win in manufacturing and technology but it needs the support and a level playing field that is provided by a responsible government. I will go to Washington not to further my career or enrich myself but to serve my country and the wonderful people of Oklahoma.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe the current laws are more than adequate and that we do not need additional laws. Gun control is not about controlling guns, it's about controlling people.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
We need a comprehensive plan to address alternatives to abortion with the end result being that options to have a child are more affordable and available than having an abortion. I would sponsor a Balanced Budget Amendment restricting government spending to a budget and a percentage of GDP. We need term limits for all those serving in Congress and the Senate to end the destructive cycle of people going to Washington to make a name for and enrich themselves.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
While racism is always a threat to the peace and productivity of any nation, the best scientific polls show a steady decline in racism over the past 40 years. We need to continue to focus on the wonderful complexity and wide range of people that make America great.
