OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Continuing to grow the economy is the first step, but it is going to take more than that. We need to look at a number of reforms including, but not limited to, raising the retirement age and means testing. We also need to incentivize younger workers to save and invest for retirement to decrease dependency on Social Security. Most importantly, we must ensure that nothing changes for retirees or near retirees. We must honor the promise and commitment

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I believe that in order to balance the budget we must look at all spending across the board - both discretionary and entitlement spending. There are waste and inefficiencies in every government department and agency that can be eliminated. Additionally, reforming our entitlements The only way we will ever be able to balance the budget and begin to reduce our staggering budget deficit is if we start making hard choices. We cannot continue kicking the ball down the road.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

I do not believe taxpayers should help pay off existing student loans.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state means a) government, at any level, is not allowed to establish a national religion; b) government, at any level, is not allowed to prohibit citizens from engaging in the free exercise of religion; c) government, at any level, is not allowed to to require citizens to engage in any behavior that violates their religious beliefs. "Separation of church and state" and freedom of religion do NOT mean freedom from religion. Prayer and expressions of one's religious faith should still be allowed in public places.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would focus on both increasing transparency in the cost of health coverage and by increasing competition. I agree with President Trump that every American deserves to know the price of medical services before they go to the doctor, and I fully support his efforts to make this happen including the recent rules that will require hospitals to display eerie pricing publicly online in a way that is easily accessible and that require insurance companies to give patients estimates of out-of-pocket costs and the payment their provider will receive. This will allow patients and employers to shop around for health care and health care coverage and it will increase both competition and quality while lowering costs.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

First, we must maintain the strongest military in the world and ensure the men and women serving in our armed services have the resources necessary to effectively do their job and keep us safe. Second, we must act decisively and with courage to take out terrorist threats to the US and our Allies just like President Trump did when he authorized the recent attack that killed terrorist mastermind Qasem Solemani. Third, we must let our military do their job and not subject them to micromanagement from politicians, bureaucrats, and pundits.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe only those who utilize our legal immigration system should be allowed to immigrate to the the United States. I fully support President Trump's efforts to secure the border, build the wall, and curtail illegal immigration. I also support the President's proposal to transition to a merit-based immigration plan. No one with a criminal history or ties to any terrorist organization should ever be allowed to immigrate to the United States.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values and spiritual beliefs are derived from the Bible. I emphatically believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I personally believe that all answers to life's problems are answered in the word of God. I believe Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and that no man comes to the father except by a personal relationship with him. My entire foundational beliefs are all rooted in a biblical world view.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have spent the last 7 years serving as Congressman Meadows' Deputy Chief of Staff and District Director. In this role, I worked hand-in-hand with Congressman Meadows as he fought to preserve our freedoms and defend our conservative values. Like Congressman Meadows, I am a strong supporter of President Trump and, just like Congressman Meadows, I will stand with him and defend him against the continuous attacks from the extreme left. Also, having served the 11th District for the last 7 years I have a unique understanding of the needs of our district and the challenges we face. I am ready to hit the ground running on day one to Keep America Great and to ensure the 11th District continues to have a strong conservative leader working for them in Congress.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

As a constitutional conservative, an NRA member, and a concealed carry permit holder, I am a strong supporter and defender of our 2nd Amendment gun rights. As such, I do not support any additional restrictions on gun ownership.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Did not answer

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is disgusting and reprehensible. It should not be tolerated in the United States. Individuals motivated by racism to commit violence are a threat to our domestic security and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
