QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be allowed in the cases of rape, incest, or when the life of the mother in danger. I personally think that all abortions are tragedies, but believe that we have to make slow steady progress to erase decades of cultural indoctrination. I would propose a federal law outlawing all abortions after the first trimester with exceptions given in the 3 instances listed above during the second trimester. The law would impose no restrictions on abortions within the first trimester, and ban all abortions in the third trimester. While not ideal, this represents a compromise while still making it unlawful in every state to have whimsical late term abortions. Such a law would also survive a challenge by the courts and falls within the precedent of Roe v. Wade.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Neutral
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
I am worried about the long-term solvency of Social Security. The program was not built for long-term solvency and may need dramatic reforms if it is to survive. No matter what we do as a nation, we can not stop payments to individuals who have earned their right to collect them.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Most of it. Specifically a reduction in foreign aid and an end to special tax subsidies for multi-billion dollar corporations. The way we bring about a balanced budget is to stop with these outlandish omnibus spending bills and get back to individual appropriations for all federal spending.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Taxpayers should not payoff existing student loan debt under any circumstances.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The government is to keep its nose out of my faith.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Neutral
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We need to completely repeal Obamacare, and craft a new healthcare law mandating the coverage of pre-existing conditions and various cost reduction reforms. Including but not limited to: allowing for interstate competition, the expansion of networks, and FDA reform.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We must first recognize that there are different factions of radical Islamism, and each may need to be dealt with in unique ways. Apart from that, I believe we ought to take the problem seriously and work diligently to adversely dis-incentivize the ideologies as a whole. We can not allow radical Islam to propagate within the United States, and we should do all in our power to prevent its propagation abroad.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Non-criminals who apply, are properly vetted, and move here like any normal law-abiding person should be allowed to immigrate to the United States. In unique circumstances where locating refugees to the United States aligns with US interests, we should grant citizenship to any who apply and are properly vetted. Our social programs should be disallowed to any and all immigrants until they receive naturalized status, which usually requires 10 years of legal residency. All applicants that are not or can not be properly vetted should be barred access and/or deported. Non-naturalized legal immigrants who commit violent crimes should be deported and barred re-entry. The dreamers should be granted citizenship if they can pass the same vetting process everyone else has too, but the people that unlawfully brought them here in the first place should be deported. We are a nation of laws, and if we don't have equal Justice, then we don't have Justice at all.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised as a Christian in the Disciples of Christ denomination. I maintain my own personal relationship with God. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for the salvation of all mankind.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Somewhat Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I have lived a private life thus far, and so publicly available information regarding my political ideology will be rather impossible to provide.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I intend to represent all of us, not just me, not just republicans, but democrats and independents as well. We all live together, and we all deserve representation that will earnestly work towards effective solutions to our problems, solutions that work for all of us not just some of us. I will work hard to bring an end to congressional corruption. I am not a career politician, and if we can get term limits through, none of us will ever have to worry about career politicians again.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The banning of explosive ordinance and automatic weapons. Both of which are already in effect. We do not require "gun" legislation to solve our violence problems.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Remove congressional immunity. All of it would be nice, but specifically prohibit members of congress from utilizing insider trading information while participating in the stock market. 2. Draft a proposal to the states, in the hopes of forcibly convening a convention, to amend the US Constitution and impose term limitations on congress. 3. Finish the wall on our southern border, and totally reform our immigration system.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, Racism is not a threat to domestic security in the United States. There is quite a bit of contrived racism in the mainstream/social media, but that is not indicative of some greater problem.
