OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if there is clear and certain proof that the mother will not survive childbirth.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I would ensure SocSec benefits for future generations by limiting them to those who pay into the system.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Any that is not specifically granted to the Federal government by the Constitution - in accordance with Amendment 10 of the Constitution.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None. Now to FIX the problem of student loan debt, get rid of Dept. of Education and government guaranteed student loans.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It is not in the Constitution; it was a phrase used by Jefferson in a letter to a Baptist Church in Connecticut [I believe]. Jefferson meant that the state has no power or right to restrict any Christian denomination from practicing their faith as they saw fit. I agree.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I do not believe that the federal government has any business providing health insurance to all American citizens. Employers and individuals should contract with insurers, if they so desire. To military/federal employees/retirees, yes, IF it was a part of said employee's contract, as it is with the military. This is 23 years of military service speaking.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

The only way to ERADICATE the threat of radical Islamic terrorism is to eliminate Islam from the world. That is NOT an option for the United States of America! That would mean genocide. I find it hard to believe that anyone who espouses fealty to the Declaration and the Constitution would even consider such. Re-enactment of the McCarran/Walter Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 would go a long way toward straightening out our problems with radical Islam here at home. People make a case, wrongly, that Thos. Jefferson had a Koran because he had a soft-spot for Islam. Nothing could be further from the truth. President Jefferson had to Koran so that he could better understand his enemies, the Barbary pirates, who were Moslem hegemonists. Jefferson sent the Marines to fight the Barbary Islamists; it is the Islamists who first called the Marines "Leathernecks" because their uniforms made it difficult to behead them in battle. Don't get me started.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone may emigrate who is NOT a criminal and whose intent is to become an American citizen and live by its laws. People of all nationalities and religions may come here to make our nation better by becoming a member of our society and not to attempt to make our society like the one they left behind. My grandparents were all immigrants. The lived in communities of their old countrymen because they were able to work together to make life a little easier. But they ALL raised their children to be AMERICANS, not Sicilian or Callabrese or Irish or Welsh/Scot/English. They wanted their children to be AMERICAN.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God [His Name is YHWH ????], the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth And in Messiah Yeshua, His only Son and my Master, who was conceived of the Spirit of YHWH by a virgin, Miriam, and suffered under the authority of Pilate, was crucified to death and buried. He descended into the grave and was resurrected after 3 days [in fulfillment of his own words], Walked among His talmidim/disciples for 40 days, ascended into heaven To be seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to rule the earth from His human father, David's throne in Jerusalem. He will judge the living and the dead from that throne just before he dissolves this fallen system to complete entropy and creates a New heaven and earth, wherein dwells only Righteousness. I post weekly Sabbath Bible Studies at my Facebook Ministry page, Fulfilling Torah Ministries. I have a similar page on the MeWe social media platform. the same studies are posted there.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I am unaware of any publicly available information of that sort, other than social media, like Facebook. I have my own personal timeline as Mark Pitrone there, as well as 2 pages; Mark Pitrone, Republican for US Representative, OH-14, 2020; and Fulfilling Torah Ministries Anyone who wishes may peruse both. The ministry page has been up and had at least weekly action for about 9-10 years. I post my weekly Shabbat Bible Studies there. If you want to know how I really believe in detail, THAT would be the place to look.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No to all. But I DO have some good stories about some traffic cases I have been involved in. ;-)

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

If they want to get to know me, check out my ministry pages on Facebook and MeWe; Fulfilling Torah Ministries, where my Sabbath Bible Studies are posted weekly. I also have Congressional campaign pages at both platforms. Mark Pitrone for Congress 2020, or some reasonable facsimile thereof. May our Creator bless all who read this line. You are made of pretty stern stuff to have gotten through it all.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None, other than restricting anyone convicted of a crime involving use of a gun from legally possessing one in the future. The right is ours as an endowment from our Creator. Even He restricted some rights from His people if they transgressed His Law. The 2nd Amendment says the right cannot be 'infringed'. I think that applies to law-abiding people. Transgression of the law has consequences.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1 ] Bringing the federal government back to its Constitutionally prescribed duties as quickly as practicable. 2] Allowing the States to take back their Constitutionally allowed duties, which pretty much means all duties/powers not specifically given the Federal government by the Constitution, in compliance with the 10th Amendment. 3] Allowing the People to provide all OTHER needs they may have individually and as parts of local communities in the way that seems best to them.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Stupidity is, but there can be no law against being stupid. If there were, about Âľ of those in Congress today would be criminal felons. Systemic racism, which is what I believe you mean by 'racism' in the Q, doesn't exist. Individuals may be racists and individual people who wield economic and social/political power may be racist, but there isn't any systemic racism in America today. Expose powerful people who are racists for what they are and watch them shrink into the shadows.
