The lack of parental involvement and competition in our education system, which is supported by the Democratic Party and the teachers union, has lead to waste, abuse, and unacceptable degradation of our education system. Guilford County, NC public schools have an average math proficiency score of 39% and reading proficiency score of 46%. For the 3rd highest tax rate in North Carolina, we deserve better!

I also believe everyone has opportunity in the United States and each person is responsible for the choice’s they make. I believe in hard work, responsibility, honesty, determination, courage, resiliency, and loyalty. Through these beliefs and values anyone can become anything they want to be in America. I also believe in compassion, generosity, and appreciation for people going through hard times. I know the local community is better equipped to evaluate and address the needs of people instead of the federal government.

We need to get back to identifying as Americans who are proud of our country even with all our flaws. Identity politics only promotes those few making a living exploiting our differences. The United States of America is the greatest country!
