OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe this should not be such a hot topic discussion or one that should be considered when voting for a political candidate, but here we go: I believe in freedom of choice all across the board. But as a parent of a daughter born prematurely, I do believe there is a line that should not be crossed. I do believe there is a certain point in pregnancy that abortion should not be allowed. I do believe that in instances of rape and incest the option should be afforded. I do believe that if a woman is to get an abortion she should be given one in a facility that is up to safety and protocol codes and the she is educated and offered other means of birth control so that she does not have to have another abortion. We should not chastise these women, we should not pass laws that hurt women. We should focus more of our efforts on educating women and showing compassion and changing the idea of motherhood and children as burdens to avoid.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Did not answer

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

No Answer

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Neutral

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

No Answer

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

That means that in a court of the land the punishment should be only taken from the laws of the land and not from a "holy text". It also means that in public offices people are entitled to their religious beliefs but they still have to abide the law of the land. It also means that no church or its leaders should have any influence over the elected leaders.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Did not answer

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Everybody should be given the opportunity to immigrate to the U.S. given that they go through the due process and assimilate to the culture they have chosen to be a part of.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Promotion of the LGBT agenda in public schools, including teaching of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”, is completely inappropriate and should be opposed at the state and local level.

Neutral

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that through working as a community and serving others we form a better connection with God. Our happiness and goals are only as good as the least of us. Through family and teaching others we are able to improve ourselves in more ways than money and accolades.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Did not answer

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am a Texas citizen, a veteran, and a father. These things have prompted me to take a genuine concern and issue for who represents my voice. I have no issue for speaking up for the things that should be addressed and hold nothing back when it comes to going against the grain.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I was raised on the southeast side of San Antonio. I graduated from East Central High School. I am married and am a father to four wonderful children. I don't know everything, but I strive to learn something new every day. I like to hear out other opinions before deciding on an issue. I'm a firm believer in personal accountability.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Property evaluation/Tax Reform Education reform 50/50 Parenting

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, because the separation that we create, the further we push each other away. In a time when we should be trying to find common ground the more it seems that we are urged to focus on what makes us different when in fact there is so much that makes us the same.
