OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am a proud parent of an adopted child. I am tired of the national narrative being about abortion. As a nation, the time, money, and effort we spend discussing abortion should be put towards supporting foster and adoption programs.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

This will take years to correct; people will have to pay in more, or the system will have to pay out less. The solution will take input from many economic advisers. Avoiding and ignoring the problem is not the correct solution. People want to have faith in the government. If corrective action needs to take place, the government should be transparent and clear on how the problem will be fixed.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would support an across the board spending reduction.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Universities are a business. The government is not responsible for bailing out people who make poor choices.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and give to God what is God's.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This is not really an issue for my district, as there is plenty of access to the internet, there is a bus system, and lots of community centers. There is a problem with some of the community centers that have not been rebuilt since Harvey, and I will work to get these vital parts of our community open again.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

As a Christian our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Neutral

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone that follows the existing immigration laws.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that all have sinned including me, and that there is no work or sacrifice I can do on my own to gain forgiveness of those sins. The only way to be in the presence of God is by accepting his son, Jesus, that he gave to us as a living sacrifice to forgive me of my sins. It is through the grace of God and the gift of his son Jesus that I have been saved.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I do not like the ideas of training AI through social media; so if you want to find some public records, you are going to have to work for it. I have owned a coffee shop in Cypress, Texas called Prestos Coffee. Economic conservative I have traveled all over the world 30+ countries. Immigration and foreign Policy I have been on the cover of the Baptist Standard. I have given a speech at the Baptist general convention in Texas.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO!

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am excited to participate in this election process. I think my background in Civil Engineering, my experience with oil and gas mega projects, and my experience traveling around the world to 30+ countries makes me a unique candidate to serve District 7.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No additional restrictions are needed. We need to focus on the people committing the crimes and the desensitization of our society to violent crimes.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Neutral

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Oversight of flooding remediation projects in Houston Government risk assessment of national dams Protection of energy industry

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

People need to be able to trust the government. When someone is pulled over, they should be subject to equal treatment. I had to teach the summer interns from Zambia not only how to drive in Houston, but what to do if they are pulled over.
