QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be abolished. VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
1) 60 billion in money to aid enemy country would go first! 2) bring our troops home from abroad and stop trying to police the world; that is not our job! 3) reduce the size and scope of the federal government—planned parenthood completely defended, EPA gone, all money for “global warming” removed, eliminate illegal immigrant enforcement such as free healthcare and education. It is simple, If we can shrink the scope of government then we will undoubtedly shrink expenditures!
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Context is king! In other words the context of this question is seemingly disingenuous, as it implies that our law speaks to it. Let me start by saying that the US Constitution, nor the Texas Constitution have this phrase in them. This phrase was used by Thomas Jefferson while writing to a church basically comforting them that the Government would not get involved in legislating their church or any other church. So the basically the context is that this phrase was only to keep the Government "State" out of the Church; not the other way around as has been erroneously implied. By the very question it means that we have allowed misinformation into our society about the true intent of the Constitution. As I already said this phrase was originally written in an effort to deter the government from having any oversight or say in the Church; not the other way around! I have a love for seeking truth and believe that is one characteristic that helps me be effective! VOTE PERRICONE Tx HD60
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Give the authority back to the states to best determine a plan of action for healthcare. While I do not believe that healthcare is a right; I do believe that the private sector and non profits can be equipped to assist those in need of healthcare. 1) give the power back to the states to deal with this issue. 2) states should evaluate the legal side of the business and find a creative solution to deal with issues such as insurance for lawsuits. 3) reform the industry 5) push for the Federal Government to get the wall built and then the state can deal with all the enticements that have exacerbated our illegal immigration problem. 6) moving towards more tech driven solution such as doctors via Skype or embracing the mobile Dr again (concierge medicine) are ways to help make healthcare affordable, adequate, and accessible! VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
I believe anyone who comes here LEGALLY and is willing to provide goods or services that our country needs should be allowed to come. VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Promotion of the LGBT agenda in public schools, including teaching of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”, is completely inappropriate and should be opposed at the state and local level.
Strongly Agree
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
God fearing Jesus following Bible believing People serving Courageous Christian I am a conservative Christian who believes in the Founding principles. Whether someone is a Believer or not, our civil society only functions properly when it remains rooted in a Biblical ethic. As for values, my Dad raised me to be a self disciplined man to work hard at everything the Lord places within my path and to always look the Him for strength and answers! I live to serve God and others! If you vote me into office I will absolutely fight for our rights. I hate to see injustices and will do all that i can to correct them with smart, honorable legislation. VOTE PERRICONE TX HD60
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
By very conservative, I am talking about the strong belief in our Republic; the rule of law. Conservatives such as myself hold the US Constitution as the supreme law of the land not the Supreme Court. By very conservative, I believe that a government that is limited and in fear of the people is the best government for liberty. By very conservative, I believe that when our government is submitted to the ideals as intended by our Founding Fathers, in subjection to God’s law, as laid out in the Bible then, we as a country will enjoy the greatest extent of liberty possible! As Mayor of Mineral Wells, Tx I have proposed and championed not just to lower taxes but came up with a new creative revenue stream that could potentially eliminate the city side of property taxes. As Mayor, I proposed an ordinance that would have made our city the largest city in the US to essentially ban abortion in our town. As Mayor, i have fought to keep the government from intruding upon our rights!
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I currently serve the people of Mineral Wells as Mayor. Combat Military Veteran who understands that sometimes it’s a sacrifice to stand for those who can’t as well as to stand for what is right! A.Applied Science “information system technology” A.Arts “Human Resources” BS Business Administration MA “Christian Education” I am currently an elected Mayor, who does what he says he will do. My trackrecord shows that I have been one to stand up (at great cost) for any and all citizens that I serve. Elect me and I will stand up for you just as I continue to for those in Mineral Wells! VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
It is time for the people to fire up their state reps and senators to take back the power and authority they have been giving to the federal government. The federal government for the past several decades has plotted a course that will absolutely ruin our country. I aim to move the needle to the “right” by promoting strong Constitutional conservative stands. Once there is a group in the State legislatures standing in solidarity then we can promote liberty minded, commen sense legislation that will bring more prosperity to Texans! Bills I would like to start working on with like minded Reps is “Constitutional Carry”, anti abortion bills, immigration enticements removed and set aside for lawful Texans, or how about a bill that allows only Texas (not the federal government) to regulate Texas only products, property tax reform, education bills to eliminate federal funding, and promote homeschooling, marriage between one man and one women. Wisely fighting for you! PERRICONE TxHD 60
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Zero! Guns are needed to protect us from those that would seek to harm us, including a tyrannical government. I support constitutional carry. VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Border Security (wall built and enticements eleminated) Constitutional Carry --(I do not support the “red flag laws) Abolition of abortion In each of these three areas any movement that I can get closer to them I will support. In example, I would absolutely support a heartbeat law in Texas because it would be closer to my desired goal.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is primarily kept alive by those who profit from Americans being divided! VOTE Christopher Perricone, Texas House District 60
