OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The only circumstance that I would consider would be if the mother's life was in immediate danger by continuing the pregnancy.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Government, on all levels, has become obese. I believe that many of our social programs need to be audited to find and eliminate waste. I also believe that the level of staff in general has become inflated. I will work to reduce the bureaucracy and thus lean budgets as a whole.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

This phrase comes from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association in regard to the interpretation of the first amendment. President Jefferson's response was to assure the church that the government would not be able to dictate how or to whom they should worship. This phrase has been hijacked by many in order to intimidate the church from being politically involved.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare needs to be a competitive, market driven, enterprise. The consumer should be able to purchase the coverage he needs and wants. Our bill of rights does not include the "guarantee" of insurance. Supply and demand in a free market will provide the products the consumer desires.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have a system in which one can legally immigrate into our country. When followed, these laws and policies work well. Any individual who desires to pursue the American dream, be a contributing citizen and show loyalty to our flag and constitution should be allowed to opportunity to do so.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I have salvation through what Christ accomplished as He gave His life on the cross and arose again on the third day. I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God that reveals the very nature of God to us. As a result, I have a Biblical worldview.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

In regards to immigration, I believe we must control our borders. We have in place immigration laws and policies that need to be enforced on a consistent basis. From an economic basis, our welfare and social programs have veered greatly from the original intentions. These programs are not designed and should not be used for a lifetime. Disability programs are being taken advantage of making it difficult for those in true need to qualify.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have a BS degree in Ag education and a Masters degree in Divinity. My education has provided a wide degree of experience that will allow me to comprehend and cognizantly respond to difficult problems. I have also had the opportunity to serve in several leadership positions in my community and in the state. This experience will be beneficial to me as a member of the Florida House.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have been a agriculture teacher in our public school system, an administrator of a christian school and currently a pastor of a church. My experiences have provided me a great background to serve in the Florida house. I will work diligently to defend our constitution, rights, and our law enforcement officers. My office will be open to hear the concerns of the citizens and to consistently work toward resolutions that will benefit our state and country.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I will be a champion for our Second amendment rights. The current restrictions are more than adequate for the law abiding citizen. No amount of laws or restrictions will stop the depraved criminal.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Protection for the pre-born. School choice for parents. Reduce bureaucratic regulations.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Any issue that divides us as Americans is a threat to domestic security. The issues that will ultimately destroy our country is not the color of our skin but rather the perpetuation of our sin.
