Never. I am proud to be 100% Pro-Life. From the 133rd General Assembly to today, I have voted for the following pro-life legislation and will continue to support such legislation. • SB 27 - Unborn Child Dignity Act • SB 260 - Telemedicine Abortion Ban • HB 405 - The Family Forward Initiative • A historically pro-life biennial operating budget which included $7.5 million for the Ohio Parenting and Pregnancy Program that provides funding for critical support and care for women and babies. This represents a $6.5 million increase from the previous two budget cycles.

Social security bypasses the free market. We need to stop government handouts, eliminating fraud and benefit abuse, and implement policies that encourage private accounts. These private accounts yield a higher return, which allows for better financial security.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I firmly believe in the Balanced Budget Amendment. American families have to live within their means, and it’s time our government does too. First and foremost, I would analyze the necessity of each government subsidy to ensure we are providing hand-ups, not hand-outs. We should be encouraging individuals to be independent of government, not reliant.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Separation of church and state protects everyone from the government forcing them to go against their belief system, regardless of their religion. Government should not be used to impose a specific belief on others - a religious baker shouldn’t be forced to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding and at the same time a LGBTQ person shouldn’t be forced to bake a cake for a rally opposing same-sex marriage.

Obamacare failed to deliver on its promises. Now, American families are facing out of control healthcare costs with a severe lack of transparency. I will work on healthcare policy that allows for free enterprise while being transparent with consumers. If we remove state mandates and allow Americans to shop in a competitive market, healthcare providers will have to deliver affordable options, protect pre-existing conditions, and offer flexibility.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
To stop the spread of radical Islam at its start, we need to continue to support our allies in the Middle East, especially Israel, who remains the only democracy in the region. We cannot continue the Obama and Biden strategies of ceding power to appease Iran, who funds Hezbollah; this has only lead to more instability throughout the region. If America does not stand strongly in support of our allies, then Iran and radical Islamic terrorists will never be stopped.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The right to bear arms is guaranteed in our Constitution. I am an unabashed defender of our 2nd Amendment, receiving the highest possible ratings from the NRA and Buckeye Firearms Association, and do not think any restrictions should be placed on gun ownership.

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
I am committed to border security, energy independence, and cutting burdensome regulations that stifle job growth. I am a proponent of restoring Trump policies when it comes to our border. We do not know who –or what— is coming into our country, and it is bringing danger into our communities. I also believe our great country needs to concentrate on energy independence. If we rely on others for energy, then we have made ourselves vulnerable from a national security standpoint. Finally, I believe government needs to get out of the way of business owners. We need to eliminate burdensome regulations, stop letting government choose winners and losers, and allow the free market dictate our economy.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Abraham Lincoln said these famous words, and they are just as poignant today as they were over 150 years ago. The words “all men are created equal” are clear, and it is sad that still not every American believes that, but the way to fight racism is not with more racial discrimination and favoritism – this does nothing in the fight to unrig the system other than to perpetuate the victim mentality. Talking about racism is important but working to enact policies that actually improve the lives of Americans regardless of religion, skin tone, or socio-economic background is the only way forward. That is why conservative ideals to “lift all boats” is the right approach.
