OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstances.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The best thing we can do with Social Security is to disengage from it. This must be done in a way that honors promises made to those who have and continue to contribute. Social Security is another example of our government's lack of ability to deliver quality services. The money an individual places in the system if invested in a 401K or IRA would provide a much higher level of benefits with greater flexibility than the one size fits all government approach.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Prohibit government from spending on anything the Constitution does not authorize the federal government to be involved in. This will instantly cut spending by 2/3.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Under no circumstances. Any such scheme would involve forcing people who didn't go to college to help pay the tuition of those who did.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Contrary to what many people would like to think, these words do not appear in the Constitution anywhere. Per the Constitution, government is prohibited from establishing a state religion, and prohibited from interfering with the free practice of religion. The Constitution places no restrictions of any kind on religion.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Key question: who do you want making decisions regarding your healthcare. You and your Doctor, or the government and insurance companies? Time and again, it has been shown that a truly free and unfettered market is the superior method for the delivery of quality products and services, and I believe this can be made to work for healthcare as well.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Domestically, any immigrants or refugees who harbor beliefs that are incompatible with our beliefs, customs, laws, or Constitution should be expelled. We have no obligation to accept hostile outsiders among us. Internationally, we need to disengage our forces from the Middle East as fast as they can pack their gear. Beyond preventing further spread of weapons of mass destruction, we have no vital interests in that region.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who comes here to live with us, work with us, join with us, and enjoy liberty with us is welcome. People who apply for long term residence must be vetted. If they harbor beliefs incompatible with out laws and our Constitution, application should be refused. We are under no obligation to invite into or allow to remain in our nation people who seek to change or harm us.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again evangelical Christian.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Detailed statements of position of a variety of topics can be found under the issues tab at johnson4progress.com.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I have no political experience. I do have a burning desire to see our government restored to what it should be. A body composed of elected citizen representatives, not a career minded oligarchy. A government that will respect its Constitutionally limited nature. One that will practice good stewardship of the hard-earned funds entrusted to it by its citizens. If you would rather be represented by fellow citizens than ruled by an oligarchy, I ask for your support and your vote in the March 3rd primary.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

There has yet to be any restriction placed on firearms that enhances public safety. Criminals don't obey laws. That's why we call them criminals. As an added consideration, per the 2nd amendment all restrictions currently in force are unconstitutional. Every one.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. An amendment to the Constitution that limits federal spending to things the Federal government is specifically authorized to do per the Constitution. 2. Construction of proper border security, along with an overhaul of our disastrous immigration system, and deportation of all aliens here illegally. 3. An audit of the Federal Reserve.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. The perception of racism is much worse than the actual fact of racism.
