QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion is an abomination and a stain on our society. I would hope we could completely end abortion, and believe it should never be allowed except in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. In those three exceptions I would want the mother to make this dreadful decision - otherwise it should be outlawed.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

For too long, Social Security has been tied to Medicare Part A enrollment – but seniors everywhere need to be able to choose the health insurance plan that fits their needs, without the fear of losing their Social Security benefits. This, plus better education and incentives for younger people to save their future, combined with a growing economy that helps everyone prosper, are the keys to solving the concerns about Social Security.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Spending is out of control. We must follow President Trump's lead and actually cut foreign aid, stop passing omnibus bills that bust the budget, and stop spending more than we take in. One good step would be to pass the "Penny Plan" where we cut 1% each year across the board until we get to a balanced budget. I would support a balanced budget amendment which forced the government to follow the same rules you and I follow and stop kicking the can down the road on spending.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

The government should not bail out those who made bad decisions and took on debt they could not repay. Taxpayers should not be liable for the mistakes of others. I would support a program whereby students who cannot pay back their debt are given opportunities to work it off (in some situations), but we cannot simply forgive bad decisions at taxpayer expense. It's worth noting that the student debt problem we find ourselves in now was created by bad decisions in the first place...

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means to me what it meant to Thomas Jefferson - religious liberty, free from state tampering, is a key component to the American vision. The Constitution, he wrote, would "restore to man all his natural rights" and Jefferson believed the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment were clear: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." This, he said, built a "wall of separation of church and state." I can't explain it any better than that.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need more competition in healthcare and must trust the free market to create adequate, affordable, and accessible health care for all. When the government steps in we see the bad results - Obamacare - and all the problems that creates. Democrats want to further expand the role government plays in healthcare and force out private insurance - that is a recipe for disaster.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

First we should secure our borders and make sure that no one comes into our country illegally. Second we should help ICE protect us by deporting criminal illegals, which will help secure our neighborhoods. Third we should follow President Trump’s lead and deal forcefully and quickly with radical Islamic terrorists across the globe as they threaten the U.S. Finally, we should continue to make America the shining example to the rest of the world and be proud of who we are, not apologize to everyone like Obama did.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I support merit based immigration, for those who follow our immigration laws. I am a first-generation immigrant and truly believe in the American Dream, but to participate in that dream you must follow the law, period.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God and my values follow that belief. We live in a free country that was build upon the idea that we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights - and my values derive from this foundational belief.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My policy stances are evidence of my core conservatism - please go to my website to learn more about me and proof of my ideology there and in this survey.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Voters should judge me based on my social work what I have done for the community for the last 30 years. I've dedicated my life to helping others, and that is why I decided to run for Congress. I believe our current congressman has failed the district and needs to be replaced. It's time for conservative leadership that is based on real solutions, not the Ivory Tower wishes of our liberal, elite Congressman. I know what it means to be an American, what it means to work to help people, and what it means to support the ideals of the founding fathers. I will fight for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans. God bless this country and thank you for giving me your prayerful consideration. Vote March 3rd!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We do not need further restrictions on the constitutional rights of law abiding gun owners. Our constitution clearly laid out the rights of Americans in the 2nd Amendment.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

First, we must build the wall and secure our southern border. Second I would propose we defund sanctuary cities and/or states by taking away federal funding for those who will not work with ICE and federal authorities enforcing our immigration laws. Finally, I would work to secure religious liberty by proposing a bill which protects the freedoms of people of faith.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is evil and can fuel threats to domestic security, regardless of who the perpetrator is. The left chooses to focus on only one type of racism and assign blame where they see fit, but in truth horrible acts are carried out across the globe which are due in no small way to prejudice and hatred. Evil and hatred in every form should be curtailed, and I will work to protect citizens from all threats to domestic security.
