QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
If the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, North Carolina should repeal its law allowing abortion up to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Less than 1% of abortions are needed due to incest or rape. I have women counseled because of their earlier choices made in life. I personally couldn't recommend an abortion at any time. I believe life begins and conception and believe scripture when it states in Psalm 139:13 For you formed my most inmost being. You knit me together in my moher's womb. And in Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart.(I beleive as Jeremiah was set apart as a prophet to the people, these young lives are also set apart to be part of the solution, voice, leadership, creativity, influence the world need. I don't want to miss one gift formed by God. I will fight to bring awareness and hope to those making the choice to end the life of their child, through compassion. I will work dilegently to help cultivate solutions involving secure locations for young women to safely embrace their pregnacy as well as providing more sound adoption options.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The state does not have any authority to impose or control the message of the church. The state cannot force or implement through legal action the words spoken from a pulpit.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I would encourage more choices for the consumer. Allowing the consumer to drive the need. Treasurer Dale Folwell's Clear Pricing Project, which was backed by Senate Republicans, addressing outrageous charges by hospitals charge.(HB-184)was then written by GA. Teachers and State employees currently have a benefit plan (promising certain benefits REGARDLESS of cost)Contribution=pay what you get. I believe all should have access to contribution plan, paying for what we receive. However, according to John Lock Foundation Medicaid Expansion article; Arizona’s expansion in 2002 initially projected slow enrollment growth, ended up costing two to four times more than the cost of covering low-income parents. The Medicaid program, jointly funded by the state and federal government was service to low-income parents, children, pregnant women, the elderly.Until Medicaid is efficiently meeting the needs of these it was intend for, expansion should not be considered.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State, sheriff and local law enforcement agencies should be required to participate in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) 287(g) Program to enhance the safety and security of their communities to identify and detain aliens.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone who follows the law and proper procedure. And those entering should receive a speedy process.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
Parents should have the right to know what schools are teaching their children about sex and LGBT issues and should have the right to opt their children out of any instruction to which they object.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am the righteousness of God through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ. I believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am a Judah-Christian, believing all scripture is the word of God. I love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul and spirit. I choose to give grace to others because I have been graced through the cross. He who began a good work in me is faithful to complete it. I I study to show myself approved unto God, and in the end, I want to hear my Heavenly Father say, "Well done." Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Him. In Him, I live and move and have my being. I am called to be a light, not a flick-your-bic. It is not my responsibility to light others or to measure their light. I am to let my light shine so others may see my works and bring glory to God the Father.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am qualified to seak the seat of NC House of Representative District 36 for many reasons. I have lived in the District for more than 25 years and know my community. I have an ear to listen to and know how to discern the wisdom of those around me. I know how to build relationships with others. I have built a fortified and reliable roledex of experienced leadership. I have no fear admitting I do not know the answer, and asking for help. I can respectfully disagree, and I'm confident to stand on my Christian principles even if I have to go it alone. I have spent my life in the public eye. My choice in running for office was not driven by title, position, a need for a job, or power, but to serve my community with a strong conservative voice accustomed to being a leader. My unique giftings of managing a budget for our own flipping property business, offers the district opportunity to provide my skill to help get our economy up and running efficiently once again.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
no
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am who I say I am and do what I say I will do. I have been married for 26 years. We have raised our family here in both private and public education. My sons have attended University and community college. I believe continued education is an important tool but not all education is found in the classroom. I hope to inspire the next generation of young women to guard their hearts and encourage them to dream big! Remember, the only one who can stop you is you.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No Answer
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I am conflicted by this question. Those I know who are gun owners are respectful of others. More stringent gun ownership laws would not alter the mass shootings and attacks on the public. These attacks were not due to a lack of laws but due to the lawlessness of the heart. I found the question "should teachers carry guns" to be vague for the severity of the question.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
I would like to see larger support for organizations like Capital Teen Court Fostering the program in the rural counties by offering support and resources. We need to get the economy safely running. We need a relevant workforce development, get rid of useless impediments existing in business licensing, and make sure broadband is available throughout the state, especially now with schools being the backbone of education in NC. Create an equal footing competitive market for all energy sources. Last year, Senate bill 354 mini budget was presented after SB226 was vetoed by the Governor, offering teachers3.9%raise. My opponent said recently she believed they deserved more. I was quick to hold her accountable for her vote against the State Employees, university and college employees, and the teachers. What my opponent did by voting against the bill was leave them with with nothing.
