QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Tax payer funds should not be used for abortion or organizations that support abortion
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life begins at conception. Except for situations where the life of the mother is at stake, I hope and pray that morally, culturally, and legally we move to a society where abortion is no longer an alternative to life.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
This country is that land of opportunity - for those who chose to work for those opportunities
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
Like any company or household, spending should always be measured and minimized to avoid too much debt
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I support across the board tax cuts for families and employers. I will introduce legislation to provide for a total deduction of property tax on the federal income tax for all filers. We need to make the tax code simpler and fairer and take a serious look eliminating certain taxes. I signed the No Tax Pledge and the Eliminate the Estate Tax Pledge.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Privately held companies should never be asked to provide services that are not in line with their views and beliefs
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The affairs of the State should not interfere with our Religious Freedom.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. Those decisions belong to individuals
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. most closely represents my views on foreign policy. However, we must always remain mindful that threats of tyranny in all forms must ne taken seriously
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
BDS under it's current form was designed under the false pretense of economic sanctions. I oppose BDS in all forms, and against all countries
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
This appears to be the policy of the CCP. The US will forever be at risk of the Chinese Communist party are not held accountable for these threats.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Three things that would help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism. We need to control our borders - I supported a policy of prohibiting many of those from terrorist countries from coming to the United States. Radical Muslims represent a small % of the world's estimated 1.6 billion Muslims. It is no secret that in order for this fringe to succeed and grow and thrive, they need to be well funded, and cutting off their source of funding is key to eliminating radical Islamic terrorism. And lastly and most obvious, support Israel. Israel’s maintenance of defensible borders that preserve peace and promote stability in the region is a necessity. Pressure should never be put on Israel to withdraw to borders that make attacks and conflict more likely. It is no surprise that Americans from nearly all walks of life enjoy and support a remarkably close friendship with Israel from a cultural, religious, moral, and political standpoint. Unlike other countries which rely on the United States to provide monetary and military defense, Israel, which votes with the United States in the United Nations far more than any other country in the world, has always defended herself, asking only for military equipment assistance and diplomatic support to do so.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The current administration's open border policy is destructive to our country. Our Southern border should be secured
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We are a country of immigrants. Anybody who comes into the country and wants to make a better life for them and their family who agrees to assimilate to the US should be given the opportunity through a thorough vetting process. The United States has the right to limit the number of legal immigrants per year. The United States has the right to protect our borders from terrorists and criminals. The United States should also mandate E-verify to insure that only those who are legal to do so can be employed here.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
As a Roman Catholic, I believe in the Holy Trinity which consists of God The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit all in one, and the moral compass that the 10 Commandments provide.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Nearly every free country (and some that are "not-so-free") in the world, require photo ID. That needs to be implemented here in the US
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Require photo id when voting. I support Election day not Election month. I support multi State efforts to verify voter rolls. And we need to do a better job at prohibit ballot harvesting, and drop boxes..
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. We have laws that protect us from those who wish to commit harm, bodily or otherwise.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
You can validate my views with these organizations: New Jersey Right to Life PAC American Conservative Union National Right to Life Victory Fund AQ Rating – National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund A Rating – Gun Owners of America True Reformer (to protect our borders) – NumbersUSA Preferred Candidate (non-incumbent) – Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I have known my wife Patricia since 1987 and have been married since 1991. We also have two sons, Daniel 28 and Michael 26. Seeing the birth of my children and watching them grow in to the fine and respectable men they are today, makes me appreciate how precious life really is. How anyone can witness the miracle of birth or hold a newborn in their arms, yet cannot see the destruction of innocent life, which abortion is, boggles the mind. I want all homeowners to be able to deduct 100% of their property taxes no matter how they file their taxes. I will also support Senator Josh Hawley’s Parental Bill of Rights legislation to ensure the protection of certain basic rights, such as the right to know what their child is being taught and the right to know what outside groups are receiving school contracts.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I support the notion of addressing mental health and community programs, but disagree that those funds should be taken from police departments.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment is an unalienable right and I will not support restrictions on law-abiding citizens. Violent felons and illegal immigrants should not be allowed to own and possess firearms; that is already the law.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
