OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When it is to save the life of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Start over. The tax code has become a crazy quilt of amendments, revisions, and new laws, creating a kaleidoscope of regulations no one can follow without the help of costly advisors. It should be simple, fair, and at the lowest possible rate for effective government.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The reality is that almost 30% of every dollar never leaves a 50-mile radius of DC. Start there, find the ways the political industrial complex developed a recession-proof economy to keep big government in business and families paying the bill.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Education is a state issue and should not be part of the federal government beyond civil rights law. With that said, K-12 education should be provided for every child, in a matter best decided by the parents' choice. College, technical or trade school, or any other form of post-secondary education or training should be available at the lowest cost possible, but not guaranteed.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

The 'free" in free enterprise should allow for the individual to hold true to their beliefs with the understanding the marketplace may respond, but the government should not.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

In consideration of the plurality of the word churches, the government can never close churches and be consistent with the US Constitution.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C - As a society, we have accepted the concept of a social safety net for those who may need it from time to time. Medicaid is that safety net, however, it should not be a substitute for private insurance. Medicare has become a social norm and to eliminate it would be a chaotic paradigm shift that many are unprepared to navigate at a time in their life when there are few options. However, as with most long-standing government programs, there are areas for improvement in delivery and cost.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

These are distinctly different entities. The government should never be allowed to require vaccinations, this is a personal health decision. Public schools should be allowed to require vaccination reporting and have restrictions in the case of outbreaks for the safety of all, but should not be allowed to require vaccinations for attendance. Private employers are just that, private, and as such should have broad autonomy. However, the same ability to decline vaccinations should be granted to employees as given to children in public schools. When possible, employees who choose to decline vaccinations could be restricted in their contact with others or in their assignments.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

As someone who lives on our southern border, we need an immediate response to the enormous numbers of illegal entries into our country. Last week DHS reported almost 1400 illegal entries over 24 hours in the Yuma sector alone. That would equate to half a million people a year - at one spot on the border - not to mention those uncounted. The countries of origin are varied, but many are areas that harbor Islamic extremism. The idea that overstaying a Visa brought the 9-11 terrorists is old school considering they now just walk in.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

America is, and should always be, the nation of people who desire to be Americans, part of a free Republic, with a desire to contribute to our communities, economy, and grow our rich heritage through this century. Our labor force has needs in every sector, and at every level. Balance in countries of origin is important as is a balance in education and skills.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Christ is my Savior, my redeemer, and at the center of my life. Grace is necessary for all and to walk in love is our commission.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Only American citizens may vote, a government-issued photo ID is a requirement, and all voting is at the precinct level.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes. Every sort of "ism" exists rather we like it or not. The world is made of humans, flawed and vulnerable, and there will always be those among us who trade in the lowest common denominator of decision making. When all else fails, race is as good a reason to hate someone as anything else and is easily determined. The unethical power-seekers have, and will continue to, use race as a wedge issue to make sure there is a common enemy versus working to correct the actual root of all "isms' which is a lack of grace and understanding.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Protect the rights of the governed.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Anyone can fight back when the wolf is at their door, but I have been fighting on the side of liberty and life for my entire adult life. Arizona must have committed conservatives at every level of government who have proven they can be trusted, I proudly present my record of earning the trust and keeping the trust of voters and respectfully ask for your vote.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Felons, guilty of a violent offense, should not own guns.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree
