QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

As a mother of two and as a young woman, I am strongly pro-life. The life of an unborn child is sacred. One of the most important factors that is rarely highlighted when looking at abortion is the impact on the mother. The regret, the physical pain, the remorse are all real. I believe we must defund groups like Planned Parenthood operating under the guise of healthcare clinics. We need a conservative voice that resonates on this issue. For too long, women have been told that the only place for their voice is on the left. I will change that and help lead a culture of being pro-life, with abortion being an option only for rape, incest, or for the life of the mother.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

There is no state religion. This was part of the genius of our nation. But we must also recognize our foundation and character as a nation of believers. We do trust in God. The government should not be led by any religion, but it also should not dictate limitations to any religion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Radical Islamic terrorism is an existential threat to the United States of America. We cannot take this threat lightly. There is a place in our nation for people of all religions who adhere to our values. However, radical Islam is in direct conflict with those values. We need a comprehensive approach that strengthens our military, law enforcement, and intelligence services while also strengthening our relationships with moderate allies in the Islamic world. The relative peace we have felt on this front is fragile and comes at the great sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, in intelligence and law enforcement. We cannot mistake this as a respite. Our enemy remains resolved. So must we.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Healthcare is one of the most heavily regulated industries already. Government-run one-size-fits-all healthcare will destroy competition and skyrocket prices. What we need is a robust, competitive marketplace that protects those with pre-existing conditions.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

We must keep our promises to our seniors who have earned these benefits. Congress must create an independent commission, as it has done with many of our top issues, to take a deep-dive into this issue that guarantees it remains soluble and strong for those who have paid in and rely on it.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

One of my top priorities would be to require a top down review of all federal government spending to weed out waste, fraud, and abuse. As a small business owner, I know that we are required to balance our budget and save for the future. Government is the only thing that can deficit spend for our future and that must change.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

The American taxpayer should not be held responsible to cancel student loan debt. Moving forward, I would introduce legislation to align existing education grants and loans with the needs of a modern workforce.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We must align our immigration system with the demands of our workforce and implement a merit-based system, as many other developed countries have.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

As a member of the NRA and as a member of The Well Armed Woman, I’m not only an avid shooter, but am a strong proponent of our 2nd Amendment. I’ve spent time in many formerly communist and currently socialist countries. History shows us the importance of protecting our 2nd Amendment. When President Reagan was shot, he referenced the 20,000 plus gun laws on the books that didn’t prevent him from being shot. Regulations don’t stop criminals but they do erode the foundation of a free society.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

The most pressing issue for the nation and for Arizona, is the revitalization of our economy, followed closely by disconnected educational pursuits, and a broken healthcare system. Reestablishing our economy begins with deregulation of small businesses, easing opportunities for new businesses, and incentivizing manufacturing to return to the United States. Simultaneously, I would introduce legislation to align education grants and loans with the needs of our modern workforce. The reinvigoration of our economy depends on our education system training our workforce based on our economy. With regard to healthcare, Arizona is lacking in healthcare options and is disproportionately impacted by the cost of healthcare. With limited options and a lack of providers; seniors, veterans, and families are unable to access or afford necessary care. It’s time to simplify and streamline medicare, open up interstate competition for insurance, and incentivize doctors to move to rural communities.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

The threat to domestic security in the United States is the division sowed by our politicians and media for political gain. The vast majority of Americans live together harmoniously regardless of race, culture, or creed. I believe there is far more in this country that unites us than divides us and we must come together as Americans to address the most important issues we face as a nation.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please visit the ‘Issues’ page at www.annemarieforcongress.com.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I’m a Prescott Valley native and represent the next generation of conservative leadership that is fighting against the radical socialism permeating our politics. I have a Master’s in Education and a PhD in Leadership. As a native to the district, I see how rural Arizona has been forgotten about by entrenched D.C. politicians. Over the past seven months, I have driven over 40,000 miles in the district visiting farms, ranches, mines, the border, hospitals, senior living centers, schools, and mental and behavioral healthcare facilities. I believe that by bringing stakeholders together, we as a community can solve our most challenging issues. When COVID-19 hit, I drove over 4,000 miles and volunteered over 300 hours to show my support for our communities. I’ve seen how coronavirus and career politicians have devastated our district. I am running to fix the issues facing our nation. I will be the accessible and energetic leader we need to preserve our Great American Legacy.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and attend a non-denominational church.
