QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

It is pretty simple. I will absolutely NOT vote in favor of any funds that are intended for organizations carrying out the death of unborn children.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed only when the life of the mother is at risk or the pregnancy was the result of incest or rape. The mothers ought to be educated in their options even with these requirements fulfilled (when able) and given the full knowledge and consequences of any action they take whether they decide to perform the abortion or not.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

This country was founded on the ideals of equal opportunity! People that want to redistribute wealth in this country are socialist and wish to rework the entire foundation of our nation. We have been blessed by so many great accomplishments in government, business, technology and art because this nation is founded on merit and capability not on the color of your skin, the money in your wallet or the religion you practice. I don't want to join the USSR and if you do, this country isn't for you!

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

I have dedicated my life to the rural AZ community and it is unacceptable that we can be responsible with our money, live with balanced budgets and still get screwed when the government lives beyond its capabilities and destroys the value of our hard saved dollars. It is time to bring fiscal responsibility to Congress. They won't bail us out, why should we! I am extremely fiscally conservative and have a lot of experience in small business. Balance the budget or I won't vote for the damn thing.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

First and foremost, it should be simplified! We shouldn't have to pay all these companies to do our taxes or risk getting audited by the nuts at the IRS. The truth is we have elected some pretty terrible leaders with some pretty terrible motives. They have butchered the tax code to make it completely unreadable so that they could easily kick money back to their friends and steal it from the working class and small businesses. We need to make it simple, easy to follow and most of all LOGICAL! Lower taxes on small businesses and our working folk as well as the people who keep our economy strong and competitive. This incentivizes good growth that benefits our nation, not sells it to multinational corporations like Facebook or Amazon. Too often are people who try to build something for themselves shut down and ruined by aggressive tax codes. Doesn't it seem like every time you hear about someone getting audited it wasn't some criminal, it was just someone who was confused by something that was intentionally made confusing? But because it's confusing the person faces legal repercussions and economic turmoil. The government is supposed to work for us, so why is it always trying to rob us and make it impossible to make a decent living? It's pretty simple if you make it simple. Make things we value and need easier to survive with, lower the tax burden of the American people and cut spending to match that burden. Then stop with these discriminatory practices that favor certain groups of people over others to jack up the playing field. If it is simple then people won't be so scared to make money. People are pushed to make decisions that would never work on the free market just because they for some reason lower the taxes these people have to pay. Well why? Why do google and Amazon pay less in taxes than some much smaller businesses? Because they PAID the government to write bad tax code full of loopholes. We need people who serve the community and American business not Chinese and European megacorporation's and Nancy Pelosi's husband. This is something I am dedicated to doing. It is going straight into the belly of the beast and I know that one man won't be able to bring our code from this insane heap of garbage to anything fair and reasonable but we have to start now and we have to bring people to DC with reasonable expectations, a will to fix this massive problem and the drive and determination to get it done! Why do these people get to DC just to reverse every major position they have had before going? Well because they didn't know what they were doing and they definitely didn't know how hard it was going to be to do it! I was a law enforcement officer, chief and am the mayor of a small town. I promise that I know exactly what it is like to have the elites shrug you off and get in your way at every step but I am still fighting every day for what my constituents want because you cannot stop me no matter how hard you try. I know the challenge and I promise you I am up for it.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

Like the rights of parents and gun owners it's no shock our religious rights are at risk too. Religious rights need to be defended like the Constitution demands! It's time we support our faith institutions and bring this nation to its roots. Unfortunately, religion is also under attack by other "religions" like Scientology that preys on the weak and commit crimes. Others have been reported helping smuggle people across the Mexican border. Support faith, punish criminals, It's just that simple!

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

See the above question. Religious freedoms only end when the rights of another's begins and there is no right to use or patronize another persons property or business. What happens when religions are forced to give up their constitutional rights? Well it is never fair and even I can tell you that. We won't be taking from all religions, just some and just because it isn't yours now does not mean that it won't be eventually. That's how the Nazis did it in Germany and how the leftists want to here.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Separate pillars of the same society. Faith and family are the foundations of our society and the state is taking power from them to keep for itself. The state is trying to be the moral foundation of our nation and it is time we reject that nonsense. The state needs to do its job. How can the federal government think it can take over the duties of our charities, faith organizations, states and parents when it can't even balance a budget or secure our borders? We have to balance our society or our moral foundations will be destroyed by greedy politicians who do not care at all about the people our religions, our parents or our prosperity!

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I think it is time that We the People do a little more of the mandating because last time I checked healthcare was not a federal power enumerated in the 9th Amendment of the US Constitution!

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I think that people paid into Medicaid and Medicare and ought to be able to use them but expanding medicare to abolish singlepayer plans only hurts the people of this country! Look at the nightmare this Obamacare or "Affordable" Care Act is! They told us you could keep your doctor, they told us that it would be cheaper? Well they lied. Healthcare is too important and government is too incompetent. Lets keep them as separate as possible and leave the medical care to the professionals and their clients, the American people!

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) I believe that the United States has become the policeman of the world. We have done a good job sometimes but mostly all we get for our efforts are dead or neglected Americans, budget deficits and even more enemies than we started with. Of course we must stand up for our allies because we ought to uphold our treaties and duties to the nations we have promised our support to. I may be old school for this because it doesn't seem like many people actually hold to their word anymore. I think the United States is the greatest nation in the world and we have to uphold our values. Personally, one of the strongest values I hold is my integrity. Ask the folks that I have shared a community with in Williams for decades and they'll tell you that my word is bond. If I tell you I'm going to do something, I do it and I think our government should have the same conviction. But even though we have contractual obligations to defend our allies and protect American interests abroad, I think we normally do more for our enemies than our allies and Americans are definitely not better off because of foreign interventions or aid programs. Who is benefitting then? Well our enemies are certainly happy to see us recently! We get involved in conflicts that we don't have any business being in. Look at the Middle East. We went in there, took out the Taliban and annihilated the Al Qaeda network in under a year after 9/11, then proceeded to "nation build" for 2 decades. What do we have to show for it? Well the Taliban really showed us where our tax dollars were going didn't they? In Iraq we took out Saddam, lost thousands of American service members, then Obama pulls out in the worst way possible. That's how we got ISIS! These crises are created and most of the time, it's by military contactor megacorporation's and politicians like Pelosi and McConnel who own shares in the very companies they authorize spending to. It's all a big sham. So we have our enemies like the Taliban trading in their old AK-47s for nice new M4s, aircraft, body armor and damn night vision and the only people benefiting are billionaires and our self-proclaimed masters in DC? That is not the America I want. We should get out of all these unnecessary and stupid conflicts around the world and focus on us because if one thing has become very clear, it is that the US government is failing to do even the bare minimum. We can't feed our babies, we can't defend our border, we can't protect our dollar and we can't even get respect from our enemies or allies internationally! This is unacceptable. I say we take stock of what is happening in our country and figure it out. Maybe with less criminals in DC we could actually help the world but right now we can't even help ourselves! Hell, we can't even keep the government from hurting us let alone just not helping! It is a disgrace and I think we should look at the Founding Fathers (as we always should) for advice!

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

We must support Israel against the constant attacks that flood in from the Arab territories. They don't even have a government (it is the terrorists, Hamas). They are anarchists, only aligned to drown the Jewish people in the sea. As a strong supporter of religious liberty and an avid student of history, I cannot ethically stand against a people that have been constantly bullied and enslaved when they want security from aggression. That being said we should audit every cent of foreign aid.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I say we read all the responses to this to find the enemies in our midst. I am absolutely not a communist sympathizer, no. China hacks into our businesses and government systems every single day, putting American innovation and lives in danger. They hacked our Office of Personnel Management with no repercussions. That put our soldiers, law enforcement and every single American at risk. This is unacceptable. They've also been very aggressive in the Chinese seas and ought to be put in their place.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

First lets close that border! There are thousands of military aged males from Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, El Salvador, and of course the Middle East coming in every single week. Just think about the Taliban and their recent victories in reconquering Afghanistan. They are loaded up with enough high tech American weaponry to extinguish uncountable American lives. These people harbor Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda even swears allegiance to the head of the Taliban! These people are coming into our border EVERY SINGLE DAY. Just like before 9/11 when the FBI and CIA betrayed their duty to this country and allowed terrorists to strike us in the most heinous attack in American history. They came in to the country through aircraft but now it is much easier to just waltz right across the border. Think about that for a moment. It is easier to get into this country from our Southern border than it is for them to come in from a plane! This is unacceptable. First thing we need to do is continue to improve federal, state and local communication in the law enforcement sector. We have been using things like GEL centers which allow easy transfer of information between the different levels of government and have been proven effective against terrorist plots. We should actually act on the intelligence that our organizations have. How often do we see terrorist or mass murder plots kill Americans just to hear that they were on this list or the other? It seems like all these groups are either corrupt, lazy, incompetent or all of the above! I know that often our local law enforcement are afraid for their jobs and lives when they see things like terror activity because they do not want to be called racist or violent so there is more to this than many people know. First steps we should take are: 1. Secure our border. 2. Audit the intelligence organizations like the FBI, CIA, NSA, and ODNI for corruption, treasonous individuals, waste and communication issues. That ought to fix a lot of problems (like securing our border) above just terrorism. 3. Lock our nation down and provide more comprehensive screening to enter this country especially when people are more likely to be terrorist sympathizers. 4. Improve and maintain communication between local, state and federal law enforcement organizations. 5. SUPPORT OUR OFFICERS! 6. Work with international partners like Canada and Mexico. This could be cooperation in the standard sense like intelligence sharing with Canada, which has stopped many terror plots in both nations or in letting Mexico know EXACTLY what will happen if they cooperate or ignore terrorist plots or other crossings that could even possibly cause the harm or death of American lives!

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We need to build the wall, keep title 42 PERMANANTELY, increase our Border Patrol size and capability, and demand that Mexico stops working with the cartels to destroy this nation. If that means sanctions or even more aggressive actions then that may be what we have to do. We have fentanyl, traffickers, innocent children and terrorists coming across our border every day along with God knows what else! Time to fight back! https://www.johnmooreforcongress.com/issues/border/

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

This one is tricky and I wish I had more than 500 words for it. I fought for my city of Williams to be a sanctuary against any federal law that violates the 2nd Amendment and so I am sure people will call me a hypocrite but let me explain. The federal government is responsible for all border security under the 9th Amendment so a city cannot violate the supremacy clause to fight immigration law. On the other hand the 2nd Amendment is protected AGAINST fed overreach. Fight illegal immigration.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Being from Arizona, I understand something that others in non-border states may not know. Mainly, that some of our hardest working, most patriotic and conservative Americans are legal immigrants or the children of legal immigrants. These people worked so hard to get here because they love this country and would not ever stand to see evil done to it. They are often the first to take the call of duty when this country is attacked. These people help our nation, not harm it and I'll tell you what, there is no group that hates illegal immigration more than the people who took the time, effort, money, resources and learned about our nation so diligently just to EARN the privilege to call themselves American. Unfortunately, this is a very very small minority now days because of the Biden (and before that Obama) administrations failure to secure our nations borders against unwelcome foreign attack. We must control our border and make sure that America is secure. Then we can figure out what needs to happen with our legal system. Does it need to be made harder in some areas and easier in others? I am not sure and we have to look at that but first we need to figure out who is coming into our nation illegally and stop them. I think that if a person is going to benefit this nation, pay their taxes, fight for our country, uphold the rule of law and integrate into our culture and neighborhoods then they should be welcome but only after they prove that they are not here for other reasons! https://www.johnmooreforcongress.com/issues/border/

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

These people aren't looking for equal protection under the law, they are looking for the law to benefit them over others. Why should women have to compete with men in sports? When will it end? By the same logic, age is just a number. Many people are the same age and have different levels of fitness, different mental ages and in different places in their lives. Should the immature 20 year old be able to play little league? I do not think so.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

This country is founded on equal opportunity and our institution's reflect that. Are there racist people in this country? Absolutely. Is every white person racist? Absolutely not! CRT is dangerous to American values and at its core is attempting to destroy our children and their pride. They do not want to create a less racist America, they want to make an America where the races are constantly against each other and hate unconditionally. https://www.johnmooreforcongress.com/issues/education/

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I would consider myself a man of faith and I think it is a good thing to have people of faith in our government. CRT is clearly a revolt against faith as the people who are indoctrinated by the terrible ideology clearly have no faith that white people, Americans or the western world can be for the equal treatment of all people's no matter their religion, race, ethnicity or economic class. I think that if people had more faith in their families, communities and institutions then people may be more willing to find solutions to the problems that plague them than just shrugging and calling them failures. Is any family perfect? I think we call know the answer to that but unfortunately, some people do not even want to try to fix the problems, they just want to revolt against it like a teenager. It may seem strange to some to associate a lack of faith with all of these things but just think about it. What is socialism at its very core? It is a lack of faith in our community and neighbors to take care of their own. Therefore the government must come in and control social services so that they are present at all. What is CRT? A lack of faith in your neighbors to get past your differences and love one another as we ought to. What is the Department of Education or of Transportation if not a lack of faith in our states to look out for their residents? At the end of the day, you don't need to be a Chritian or religious to be an American. Our nation was founded on the principle that no religion or faith should be abridged or eventually they all will be and I agree. Unfortunately, many Americans have taken their lack of faith to the next level and now fancy themselves as faithless in their entire lives. No faith in their neighbors, our nonprofits, our local and community leaders, or even our families. What has come of it? A nearly complete dependence on the government which somehow has absorbed all the faith that was lost. It is very unfortunate and we ought to find faith in the things we know like our neighbors, our churches, our businesses and our community organizations before we put our faith in the federal government which we don't even know.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I do not understand this argument. The USA is the most powerful nation in the world. Our elections can sway everything from small businesses and towns to global powers and institutions. With so much at stake how could someone deny that there are groups who would want to manipulate our elections. Of course we should use photo ID. Nearly everyone has one and we can make voter ID's free with high levels of security and pictures on them. It is not that hard people! LET'S SECURE OUR ELECTIONS!!!

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I am running for federal office and so this has become quite a debate on the campaign trail and on the national mind. Should the federal government entrench itself further into our elections? I would argue that they should not. Sure if we win big in 2022, we could probably make some major changes with some really amazing results for election integrity but what happens if 2024 or 2026 do not go our way? Well then HR1 will be passed or whatever even crazier version they have by then. We really should leave it up to the states to create and enforce their own election laws but I do belive that the federal government has a limited but important role in election integrity that I would advocate for and put on the table in the House of Representatives. First, the federal government should mandate all paper ballots. Before 2020 there were bipartisan calls to eliminate digital voting. Why? Because it is IMPOSSIBLE to secure them. Even under the best circumstances these devices are able to be manipulated by anyone smart enough to. I believe in our elections too much to put them at risk like that. Will it take a long time to count? Of course but I think it is worth it to secure our elections. We have a lot of people and it is a little ambitious to expect all the results before we go to bed every election day. It is time to bring some more reasonable expectations to DC because that is not sustainable and I'd bet if you polled Americans, they would be more than happy to give up speed to security, especially because the officials elected aren't sworn in for quite some time after the actual day they are elected. Second, I think we ought to only have a single place to bring our ballots for election day. One polling place for one person. It is that simple. Finally, I believe that the federal government has the right to place heavy restrictions on mail-in-balloting. Should active duty serviceman abroad have to come home just to vote? Absolutely not. Should people literally physically incapable of leaving the home for election day? No, but these requirements should be very strictly enforced so that they are not abused. When we look right now, there is little on the books and even less that is being properly enforced. States must take up the gauntlet to secure their elections or it will be another power stolen by the fed but I do think the fed needs to do what it can to defend our nation from foreign and domestic threats. This is step one in that fight. It is as critical and urgent as our border security and just like there is no nation without its borders, there is no America without proper and clean elections!

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

I don't think I need to give a long response for this one. If you think we should then do not vote for me and don't support me.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Absolutely! Terrible ideas like CRT, hate crime legislation and the elimination of school choice are all making Americans hate each other. If you do not think that could end in major issues then you have been living under a rock. Americans hate each other more than ever these days. Why? Because the left is pushing out propaganda and legislation that is specifically crafted to divide Americans. How does this always end? Misunderstanding, falsely placed hatred and blame and worst of all, violence. We must stand up against this agenda of hatred, racism, violence and segregation or our people will become more and more racist and afraid of each other until it is not Russia or China or terrorists from abroad that mean us the most harm but the factions that divide us as a nation that do. I honestly fear this is already the case but we have to fight today and every day after this to push back to a more inclusive, loving and patriotic society.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Is this really the time to be picky in our energy extraction? We need to be using every single domestic supply available to us. We need to stop the bleeding. It is not about supporting a single source for energy because just like a good investment strategy, a good national energy policy requires the nation diversify its energy supply so that a single event does not cripple our prosperity like it has this year!

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. It isn't up for debate. Sure, we need to diversify using nuclear, hydro, solar, geothermal, and traditional sources like coal, natural gas and petroleum but the free market will determine the best sources. What happens when you socialize your energy supply? Ask Venezuela!

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I have always been conservative. From being business centered in Williams as Mayor, to my opinions on federal masking, vaccination, and firearms policies.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcrXGjuBpY8 https://cronkitenewsonline.com/2015/03/thicker-than-water/index.html https://www.williamsnews.com/news/2020/sep/22/nation-patriots-recognizes-john-moore-city-william/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I love my community and my work. My entire life has been dedicated to improving my community and it's prosperity. Look at Williams. It has Bearizona, the Grand Canyon Railway and even a rollercoaster now! I have always lived by the tenant that the government should never do something a company could do better and cheaper. That means I am more interested in public-private partnerships than I am about just demanding things from our communities. https://www.johnmooreforcongress.com/issues/meet-john-w-moore/

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Neutral

So long as department policy is consistent with the proper techniques an officer ought to use when interacting with the public, then they should be immune but often our police are trained in ways that are not consistent with the best possible techniques and those should be identified and adapted to work WITH the community and not against them.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

This defund crap isn't helping anyone. The truth is the thing that will cause the most harm to a community is when a department is defunded. What happens? Well you don't defund their equipment because nobody would be an officer if they didn't have protected equipment or communication tech. You defund the training these officers need to effectively deal with a variety of situations. Do we lower doctors training to stop medical misconduct? No that is just silly.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Preventing felons from possessing firearms, encouraging proper handling and storage of firearms and not using fear tactics to scare people into being irrationally fearful of them will all help. Really, there are no new restrictions that should be placed on responsible gun owners and I believe that often what we have today even at the minimum is too restrictive. A criminals best friend is a good guy who can't defend themselves.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

We do not sue McDonalds if someone eats 10 quarter pounders a day and dies of heart disease.
