OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

While this could be a very difficult decision for any woman, I do not feel there is a viable reason to end a life. My wife Faith and I would have a very difficult discussion only if the decision were required to save my wife and mother of our children's life. I could not imagine how difficult that decision would be.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Reduce the size of the Legislature. Work to switch the pension programs over to a 401k style plans for all new employees and through attrition it would go away. Current employees would keep the plan in place.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

No Answer

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I believe over time there has been some abuse of the separation of church and state by liberal candidates. The terms used by liberal candidates have caused the christian values to be alienated. We need to protect both the church and the government from this. In doing so, the government and church should remain separate so that we don't have the continued abuse against the Judeo-Christian Values this country was founded on.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I believe we need to build competition between insurance companies and allow the smaller companies to participate. This will encourage competitive pricing that everyone can afford.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I feel that anyone who meets the criteria and goes through the legal process to come to the United States should be welcome.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The decisions I make on a daily basis are based off of my Christian beliefs and moral compass. I believe the way we act and the decisions we make, will have to be answered for later in life or after. I use my Christian beliefs to guide me in the right direction and I believe God has given me challenges and opportunities in my life. I have chosen my path based off of these challenges and opportunities.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

There is no place in this world for racism. Too many people look for the differences in people instead of looking for what is similar. If everyone took a different approach on what we all have in common and work toward goals together, we would all have a better world to live in.
