OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if the life of the mother is at risk.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

This (balancing the budget) isn't really a realistic idea at this point. However, we could start by eliminating pensions and expense accounts for politicians.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state should protect the rights of its citizens to freely practice their religious beliefs, both in their personal life choices and with their private property.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As always, anytime you try to mesh the private marketplace with an institution (federal government) that has the power to create fiat money, you'll get a market imbalance of inflated prices. At this point, it'd probably be best just to have two separate healthcare systems. We could have a private system completely free from any federal funding or regulation in which each state could set its own laws governing the health industry (lawsuit damages, prescription drug choices, etc) thus creating a competitive medical marketplace between each state and within each state, and allow the federal government to continue to run a completely separate system for those who want it.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

No Answer

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who has gone through the proper legal vetting system.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Promotion of the LGBT agenda in public schools, including teaching of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”, is completely inappropriate and should be opposed at the state and local level.

Strongly Agree

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in an Almighty, Creator God who created earth and everything upon it. He's currently writing a seemingly crazy, but yet beautiful story in which He would allow His own creation to rebel against Him, and then proceed to come join the earthly realm as a fellow human, live a perfect life in the person of Jesus Christ, and allow earth's appointed rulers to brutally murder Himself as a sacrifice, or method of payment for their own crimes of rebellion against His authority. He rose from the dead, and assigned those that would believe the truths of this story the task of spreading it throughout the earth. This is my job until Jesus returns to redeem His own creation and rule over it.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I hold pretty conservative social views, with a penchant for free-market economics.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Not sure what would exactly "qualify" someone to hold an office to govern over people. Political experience? Education? Life experiences? Humility? I majored in economics in college, and work as a maintenance man at a church. Do with that whatever you want.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I play a lot of ultimate frisbee and basketball.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe and support the idea that American citizens have the right to own firearms, both for protection of self and personal property, as well as a deterrent against an oppressive government from infringing upon their freedoms. I also support the idea of criminal background checks before purchasing them. Citizens can forfeit certain rights based upon behavior (like committing violent crimes.)

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

I don't really have any plans at this point, but at the state level, I'm a big fan of vouchers for school choice, keeping citizens free of any kind of income tax, and passing down, or decentralizing the rights to govern citizenry to counties/cities as much as reasonably possible. A citizenry is generally more content, peaceful, and economically productive the more that they have control of their personal property and life decisions.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

As a society as a whole, not really. However, there will always be violent crimes committed with racial motivations. I believe the U.S. suffers from racial tensions (among blacks/whites) more than the rest of the Western world because it spent about 100 years (post-abolition) at an institutional (government) level labeling certain races as superior/inferior to each other. Our society is still suffering from this mistake today.
