Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Election of judges by the people for a definite term of office is the best way to select judges.

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

Strongly Agree

There should be a strict constitutional spending limit for state and local governments that would tie the rate of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Strongly Agree

Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Power can corrupt even honest people, and it is hard to make people give up that power if not checked. Using the separation of powers there should be, and until recently has been, a separation of power which has led to prosperity, more freedom, and less government. Our current government is an example of what happens when the judicial and executive branches make law and circumvent the legislature. The will of the people is not done when this happens.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life of the mother.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Believer in Jesus Christ. I believe that the Bible is the word of God. I believe that our country must turn back to God because any country that turns it's back on God is doomed to fail. I believe that God is the only solution to the problems we have in our nation and world, and that we only need leaders who believe and listen to Him.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I have worked and voted for less government, taxes, and regulations. I have voted and worked to eliminate abortion, and filed a bill to do that. I have voted and worked for pro growth legislation such as elimination of property and business taxes for our state. I led the fight to kill an increase in the vehicle registration tax. I wrote and pushed the Open carry law (HB 700) to expand our 2nd amendment rights, and voted for other 2nd amendment bills, which gave me an A+ from the NRA. As a Homeland Security and Public Safety committee member, I called for the Texas DPS to deport all illegals the DPS detained. I do believe that immigration is one of the few things the Federal government is supposed to do, but they won't so we must. I also called for Texas to stand up to the Federal government and agencies and say, "NO" when they were damaging to Texans, which is much of the time.

Additional comment from candidate:

While in office I voted for Texas to reject Obamacare (which we did). I voted to pass "Voter ID' (which we did). I voted against Common Core, which my opponent defends. I voted to strengthen private property rights (SB 18). Question # 12 says the founders created a "pure Democracy". They did not, we live in a Republic. I also voted to eliminate state funds for Planned Parenthood. Thank you.
