QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. Abortion providers should be indicted for first-degree homicide and put on trial. If the horrific procedures of abortion by dismemberment, or partial-birth abortion are used, the homicide indictment should be with "special circumstances".

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Education. Government-mandated health care. State pension funding. Welfare and social services. These four budgetary items account for 80% of Texas governmental expenditures. This is where the money is.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

No governmental entity may establish an "official" religion or denomination of religion. No governmental entity may interfere with the worship of citizens as citizens see fit (as long as that form of worship does not violate the rights of their fellow citizens). No governmental entity may ban religious institutions from participating in the political process.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

My solution to the healthcare crisis is for Texas to defy federal tyrannical intrusion on the issue and establish a truly competitive open-market health insurance market for Texas.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only those that apply for admittance through the legal mechanisms. Anyone that wishes to immigrate to the United States should: show a clean legal record, be able to readily prove they will be a productive citizen to the economy, or have a legitimate claim for asylum such as fleeing religious persecution or warfare.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

Promotion of the LGBT agenda in public schools, including teaching of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”, is completely inappropriate and should be opposed at the state and local level.

Strongly Agree

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Christian. My salvation experience occurred on March 20, 1997. I'm was officially ordained as a Christian minister of the Lord Jesus Christ in 1999. I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, God. I believe that salvation comes only through Jesus, and believing in the work of the Cross, His burial, and resurrection. I believe that salvation comes by grace through faith and not by works. I believe that every sinner, no matter how deep into darkness they may be, can be saved. I believe that the most effective tool to bring the lost to Christ is through the proper teaching of God's Word. I believe the most effective technique to bring spiritual healing to the wounded is by the proper application of God's Word, thus activating the divine power of the Holy Spirit.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please go to my campaign website, VoteClaver.com, there is an abundant display of the work I've done for the conservative cause over the last 25 years.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Apostle Claver T. Kamau-Imani is the president & CEO of RagingElephantsRadio.com, a digital media company founded in 2013. Claver is a 5th generation Texan. Claver is an ordained Christian minister and former pastor. He has been a liberty-driven political activist for 25 years. RagingElephantsRadio.com (RER) is a Texas-centric news company with an admitted bias toward liberty. Audio streaming news and commentary 24/7, RagingElephantsRadio.com is the first-of-its-kind information service. Claver hosts a nightly political talk show, as well. The precursor to RER was Claver’s RagingElephants.org. The primary mission was to grow the conservative voting base through racial diversity – to challenge voters of color to vote their conservative, Judeo-Christian values.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, I have not.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I will only vote for a conservative Speaker of the Texas House. I will be a champion of the Texas GOP Platform and its legislative priorities. I will defend religious freedom and oppose the efforts of the neo-morality movement. I will work for more Texas funding for border security. I will be an advocate of the classroom returning to education and away from indoctrination. I will be dedicated to the dismantling of the Texas plutocracy that consistently thwarts the will of the People of Texas through the power of the lobby. I will be a true public servant of the people and pursue policies that positively impact large swaths of the Texas populous. I will never moderate and keep the compass of my soul always pointed toward liberty. I will defy all attempts to introduce further policies of socialism to our society. I will vociferously defend the uniqueness of Texas culture, our history, and our way of life. I will stand on the truths of God's word and lift up the name of Jesus Christ

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

There should no restrictions of gun ownership as required by the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution, and Article 1 Section 23 of the Texas Constitution. Those convicted of felonies should have all of their constitutional rights restored once their debt to society has been paid. This includes their right to defend themselves against criminal element and tyrannical government. A conviction does not remove their status as a citizen.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Agree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Abolition of abortion and the "10-Day Rule". Abolition of property taxes. Toll road reform: when the road is paid for the toll must come off, by law.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, it is not. As a child of integration, I know what racism looks like. Texans have done a remarkable job of removing the intolerable stain of racism from our society. There certainly are barriers that still exist for upward economic mobility. However, racism (the exploitation of one race for the benefit of another) is not one of them.
