QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the life of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I would love for Arizona to become a state without a state income tax. Last year we passed the biggest flat tax in the entire country.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

If we had a far greater Republican majority, I would push for a 10% reduction in agency spending across the board.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I don't believe government should be able to step in and dictate a church be closed. What happened in 2020 is a huge step back for religious freedom.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C- I think a safety net should temporarily exist, but I don't support government run healthcare. My own personal private insurance was cancelled in the fall of 2013 due to Obamacare forcing me into a plan that covered less and cost more.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I don't believe the government should be allowed to required vaccinations. I just helped pass a bill saying that parents have a say over their children's vaccinations, not the government. It states any government entity may not require a person under 18 years of age to receive a vaccination for covid-19 or any variant without the consent of the parent or guardian.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

If the Islamic extremists win, freedom-loving Muslims will lose. We should work with the nonreligious radicals who want to work to secure liberties, free speech, and the right for girls to have an education.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I don't support boycotting Israel. If I was serving in Congress I would promise to cut federal funding for organizations supporting the BDS campaign.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those seeking legal immigration should apply for a work visa and follow the proper procedures to attain work in the US. They shouldn't come to the country until their application has been approved. Also, I don't support chain migration.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

School choice is one of my top issues as I have worked in the field for more than 20 years.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a strong believer in religious freedom and have been a strong voting member in the conservative and liberty caucus of the GOP.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

In Arizona we need legal ID on all ballots as well as clean voter rolls. Right now, we have neither and we need to be sure we have an Elections Procedure Manual that only includes Arizona statutes, not what the current liberal Secretary of State desires because she has included provisions from HR1 in the manual which is not lawful or in line with our state's statutes.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, the public schools are doing a terrible job graduating students to protect our country because a majority of the graduates fail to pass the Armed Services exam. Now, the armed services have gone woke and are teaching critical race theory.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

a

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I believe the general purpose of government is to protect public safety.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

The latest from this week alone: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/960-conservative-circus-w-jame-28823469/episode/az-state-rep-shawnna-bolick-discusses-97340276/ or type my name into a search engine box over an email I responded from Ginni Thomas. or https://omny.fm/shows/sethleibsohnshow/may-23-2022-hour-3

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

When I served in the legislature, I prioritized consumer protection, human trafficking, election integrity, criminal justice reform and tax reform.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Neutral

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Our current state statutes are sufficient. I believe all law-abiding citizens have the right to bear arms. Arizona's self-defense laws need to be further strengthened to protect citizens involved in a self defense situation.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
