QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should not be allowed under any circumstances. If in extreme and rare cases the life of the mother is at risk, then that is a decision that should be made between the doctor and the patient.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Anything that is wasting the hard working tax payers money or that is unconstitutional.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The phrase "separation of church and state" is not in the Constitution. This phrase to me means that we have our natural God given freedom to religion without the interference of the state within the boundary of the law. It was built in to our laws that we needed a moral standard, not a central religion, that is the choice of a self-governing individual. George Washington stated,"Reason and experience both forbid us to expect the National morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle."

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to reform expensive healthcare. We should make adjustments to establish better conditions for the free markets to work through competition and choice. Our U.S. Constitution calls for a decentralized health care system to avoid fraud, failure, and drive down costs. A model where providers compete in a transparent market in which individual consumers are in control is the best choice.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People are allowed to come to the United States through legal means. People with merit who want to live in America and go by our laws and Constitution are welcome to go through the legal process to become a citizen.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Promotion of the LGBT agenda in public schools, including teaching of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity”, is completely inappropriate and should be opposed at the state and local level.

Strongly Agree

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. My values are faith, honesty, trust, respect, and morality.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I testified in Austin this last Texas legislative session for life and to stop our tax dollars from being used to fund abortion. I also testified for tax relief and less regulation at State, City, and County level. I testified at the Mass Violence Hearing in Midland/Odessa for our second amendment rights. I speak out for securing our border and have talked to some of our border patrol about what they need most. I am involved in many conservative groups. I am involved with church.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

The education and experience that qualifies me for an office position are a combination of life experience and school. I am a taxpayer, I have managed my household with my husband for thirty years raising four sons. In high school I took debate class and marketing and education classes. I worked in sales like Sonic, J.C. Penny's, and Walmart. I have been room mom, assistant teacher in a high school behavior unit, PTO President, and most important I home schooled two of my sons. I currently take Hillsdale College online courses and testify on bills. I am a photographer. My husband and I were foster parents for five years. I have volunteered in many areas including, government, campaigns, community, and church.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, I have not been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I will work hard, read the bills, and do everything I can to protect our freedoms. I will do my best to represent the tax payers who cannot afford to pay any more taxes, and to encourage a free market where citizens like my sons and daughter-in-law can start a business and buy a house without over burdening regulation and taxes. I will also do my best to bring more integrity back into the House. Thank you, Lynette Lucas

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We already have laws that through due process evaluate a person who is a danger to themselves or others. There are background checks. We need to protect our private property and Second Amendment which says, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." We have the right to defend ourselves. We need less restrictions.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

My top three legislative priorities are; 1. Protect the life of our citizens from conception to natural death and that includes all our citizens to have access to quality healthcare via the free market. 2. Protect our 1st and 2nd Amendments. Free speech is important and so is our religious freedom. Our right to assemble together is a good thing and we need to protect private property. 3. Constitutional Carry/The right to defend ourselves.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is not a threat to domestic security in the United States. The threat comes from people who do not want to be under our Constitution or our laws. We will never be able to completely eliminate racism, but we can educate all citizens and those wanting to be citizens on how our Constitution works and that we are a Republic of self-governing individuals in a country that goes by the consent of the governed.
