QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the life of the mother.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

First and foremost, we need to get our national debt under control. Our interest on the debt alone is over $700 million each year - this is unsustainable and places a heavy pressure on programs like Social Security.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I support Rand Paul’s Penny Plan: cutting one penny from each dollar until the federal budget is balanced. Each department should be tasked internally with saving 1% from their budget - and I have no doubt this can be done with only cutting waste and red tape. I would also like to produce a Waste Report like Sen. Tom Coburn did highlighting instances of ridiculous taxpayer funded waste, and would save money by moving federal departments out of Washington.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Taxpayers should not be on the hook for paying off student loans. The government already provides student loans at low rates. We also need to encourage high schoolers to consider vocational tracks in school that can put them on track for a high paying career without taking on excessive student debt.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that no organized religion should be in charge of the government, and likewise, that the government should not be in charge of or sponsor religions. It does NOT mean that people of faith should not participate in government or act in the public sphere in accordance with that faith.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to allow the market to work without the government overburdening the system with too many regulations and mandates that drive up the cost and decrease quality. Government running our healthcare like the socialist Democrats propose will never work - we need to do the opposite and let the miracle of the free market work while helping those who need financial assistance. But that assistance must be a hand up, not a handout, and lead to financial independence instead of long term government dependence.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to continue President Trump’s policy of peace through strength. This means strategic bold moves like the targeting of Gen. Soleimani that make it clear to the world that we will not allow rogue regimes to target Americans. I do not favor getting American soldiers involved in never-ending conflicts that cost the lives of our young people while not achieving our policy goals.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We should base legal immigration quotas on the amount of open jobs in the United States. Immigration should make our country stronger, not weaker. Qualified workers whose skills match the open positions should be allowed in on a work visa that will be strictly enforced as other countries around the world do.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I’m a strong Christian who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on our behalf to give salvation to those who believe in him.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Please visit www.BethForIndiana.com to view more detailed answers on a long list of policy questions that demonstrate my conservative beliefs. I have consistently voted for and volunteered for conservative Republican candidates over the years, including recently Mike Braun and Todd Young.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

As a businesswoman, I believe we need more female private sector leaders serving in public office. I will take my lifelong conservative values and my decades of success in business and nursing and put it to work for our district and its amazing people. I humbly ask for your vote on May 5th in the Republican primary!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The Second Amendment is clear: our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Obviously, convicted felons have forfeited this right, but law abiding American adults should not face additional restrictions in addition to the systems currently in place.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Balanced budget amendment 2. Apprenticeship programs for public high schools 3. Moving federal departments out of the Washington DC area and into the states and closer to constituents

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Certainly there are those in our country who commit violent acts that are driven by racism. That threat should not be taken lightly.
