QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
No Answer
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
No Answer
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am pro life. I favor life over death decisions. This question serves to divide not unite people. I’m not God. I don’t have an answer to please every reader. Abortion circumstances should be be rare. Adoption education and practice should be more prevalent. I am a pro law candidate, too. Thus, legal reasons or unavoidable natural reasons like miscarriages and pregnancy complications whereby the fetus is not viable and the mother will die are some examples.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
A candidate that “guarantees benefits” is not being truthful. The “good will” of 535 politicians’ collective process determines how much money recipients of Social Security receive. We can root out fraud and abuse and implement contemporary anti-counterfeit technology for some of the needed fixes. Furthermore, we can elect people like myself, who possess integrity and character to negotiate and advocate for Social Security recipients for additional protections.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I wish the answer was as simple as the question implies. Unfortunately, our divisive society is addicted to government aid. No matter what you cut, people disagree. It has been suggested, various authors’ “Penny Plans” or some variation whereby a 1% or other % reduction across the board every year ... would balance our federal spending budget in about 5 years. I’m not glued to any specific plan. However, I am of the mindset we need to do something.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
I'm not in favor of additional regulations or tax payor bailouts. If government pays student debts, government just added to the problem question #36 asked me to solve.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Our government shall not create a “state religion” nor prefer one religion over another.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
If the answer existed, it would have already been solved. Nevertheless, I believe in free enterprise, interstate and intrastate competition, and an establishment of independent health savings accounts owned by all individuals. Self-employed Individuals and small business employers need opportunities to negotiate as a collective. Therefore, regulatory/legislative changes are needed to allow trade associations to offer association health plans (AHPs) to their memberships, including “working owners.” A "legislative example," ... modify the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Legislation to allow Pathway 2 Association Health Plans (AHPs) whereby “working owners” (not just multiple employer welfare arrangements via Pathway 1 rules, MEWAs) can legally opt-in to a beneficial arrangement by creating a group membership or because of an existing trade association group membership thereby allowing the opportunities of lower premiums.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
I don’t believe the United States can eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism. Our way of life is as radical to the other side as the other side is to us. Education, free exchange of ideas through peace and prosperity and trade, and time might put an imprint of understanding to each side. Rhetorically I ask, is the “radical” portion of Islam the problem or a symptom of a deeper different problem?
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People of non-violent/criminal backgrounds who wish to immigrate to assimilate and blend into the fabric of our society are welcome. Of those willing legal immigrants, educated and other work based merit people get a pass to the front of the line.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe God is eternity. Love is real. Life is precious. My physical and spiritual realms are dual sides of the same coin. For me, forgiveness is a pathway to inner peace so I may recognize (integrity) my moral journey and perform (character) my actions. I am a human and possess sin. Thankfully, redemption is possible.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I can not validate my overall “conservative” label/answer/description. I look to my past and find sin & redemption; remorse & happiness; selfish & selfless behavior; neglect & pride; and more. I’ve lived long enough to have perspective of hindsight to have insight to understand and appreciate the depth of my life’s experiences from birth to present, earned through happiness & health to sickness & death of loved ones, and living on.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Other candidates wrote a check to be on the ballot. Verified or qualified voters signed a petition for Jeron Liverman to be on the ballot. Think about this grass-roots fact. I understand our voters’ pulse due to 1,000+ conversations at 2,000+ random doors, coffee shops, restaurants, gyms, various events, and more from 09/05/2019 - 11/14/2019. Each earned signature placed upon the petition by each red, white, and blue person effectively said place Jeron Liverman on the March 3rd, 2020, Republican Primary ballot, so people could have another choice. Each voter can now vote for a compassionate conservative private sector self-employed person from outside of government. Voters can select a person who has lived long enough to have perspective of hindsight to have insight to understand and appreciate the depth of life’s experiences from birth to present, earned through happiness & health to sickness & death of loved ones, and living on. I spent TIME and LISTENED to YOU.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We've federal restrictions like NFA (1934 National Firearms Act) & GCA (1968 Gun Control Act), two examples. Individual states or territories should determine age restrictions on purchases/ownership. Various weapons are unfortunately used in countless infractions against innocent people every day. Decades ago, my older half-brother died by a rifle shot. Restrictions wouldn't have changed his tragic event or outcome. I like the 2nd amendment, “... keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1) reference "legislative example" in question #29. 2) Modify the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) to reclassify medicinal and-or recreational marijuana Schedule "I" status to a lower "II, III, IV, or V," status or unschedule the status. Additionally, medicinal and recreational classifications do not have to be within the same status. 3) Introduce national license to carry weapon legislation which would make a license to carry holder legal in any U.S. State or territory or waterway.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
People are not born racists. Racism is a learned behavior. Racism is not a threat to domestic security. Ignorance is a threat to all things, at all times.
