OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Social Security needs to be addressed before it goes bankrupt. This should not be done in a way that changes or limits those on Social Security or within a few years of receiving Social Security benefits. One possible way to address the future funding problems is for people starting their careers in their 20's (like my daughters) is to raise the age in which they could start to receive benefits, so that they will pay in over a longer period of time. Americans are living longer and able to work longer than what our grandparents, for example, did.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

There is no department that is sacred. Every department must cut in order for us to have a balanced budget and reduce the national debt. This means cutting waste, redundancy, and eliminating fraud and abuse.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None. The student should pay off their own student loans. I do believe that many universities have large endowments that should be going to help students with their education versus paying for extravagant housing for the university president or college athletes.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that the government does not have a right to limit my freedom to practice my faith and religion. The government should not be able to tell me when and where I can pray, how I should raise my children, or that I should serve clients if their beliefs are in direct opposition to my religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We have the best healthcare system in the world. The problem is one of affordability and access. I believe in market-driven solutions. This would include transparency of prices for drugs and services (posting on internet, etc.), legislation to limit "surprise bills", and ability to shop for health insurance across state lines. I do not believe in Medicare-for-all and do not support eliminating employer provided health insurance. I support market-based solutions that puts medical decision back in the hands of the patient and doctor.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Strong military and control of our borders.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

1. People who are applying legally to enter our country and meet criteria - such as they are not known threats to the US, they are coming to this country with a job and/or for an education, and they can support themselves via an existing job or pay for their education. 2. People who apply due to political asylum - not economic asylum. (ie, they are physically at risk due to political differences with their country) 3. People who are applying legally who will meet a need of our country (ie, people with STEM education and training) 4. No chain migration.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and believe that everything should be done to preserve our Country's founding principles of faith, family and freedom. Our Constitution protects our right to have freedom of religion - not as many of the Left believe that this means freedom from religion. Freedom of religion means that I have the right to practice my religion freely, to pray freely, to raise my daughters in the faith that my husband and I chose, and to run my business in a way that doesn't conflict with my faith and religious beliefs. I also believe in the sanctity of life - both at the end of one's life and in the womb. I believe that my Christian beliefs support my responsibilities as an American citizen to stand up and fight for my country and our Constitution.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I believe that our country is a sovereign nation and has a right to control our borders and who can come into our country and be a citizen. We are also a country that is founded upon the rule of law. If someone doesn't like the law, then they should take steps to try to "legally" change that law via legislation - not through judicial interpretation. I am pro-life and do not believe that tax dollars should be spent upon organizations that provide abortions.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am running for Congress because I am concerned about how our country is being pushed down a path of socialism by the Democratic Party. I want a future for my daughters and (hopefully one day) grandchildren that is prosperous, free and safe. That will not happen if we allow the Left to fundamentally change our country. I was raised by parents from the Greatest American Generation to believe that the gift of freedom that we have in this country is worth fighting for and to that extent - I am running for Congress to fight to preserve our country's values and future.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe and support the 2nd Amendment and our right to bear arms. The problem is not the guns, but mental illness and addressing that.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Funding for the continued flood mitigation projects in Houston area to prevent the widespread disaster we saw with Hurricane Harvey. 2. Continued funding to secure our borders. 3. Balanced Budget amendment to cut spending and reduce national debt.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe that there are extremists who due to their political or religious beliefs want to destroy our country and our way of life.
