The nature of mankind is toward evil. By limiting government, under God, the natural tendancy toward corruption is limited and the damage over time is limited. Historically we tend to want to defer rather than to lead. We place corrupt leaders in authority over us to our own detriment. Only our faith and our laws protect us from ourselves.
