OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never, always try to save both lives - the mother and the baby. No person has the moral right to choose who lives and who dies.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would stop all federal or state funds given to entities which provide or promote abortion. In 2017 the cost of illegal aliens in the U.S was $116 billion. I would support returning non citizens, who have entered our borders illegally, to their native country as soon as they are identified. I would not support spending tax dollars on private company bailouts. I would support legislation which privatizes state, federal, and local healthcare.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The freedom to worship is a inalienable right which cannot be infringed upon by the government. Religious liberty is protected by our state and federal constitutions. The government has no right to interfere and is prohibited from regulating public religious expression.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

As a nurse practitioner, this issue is close to my heart. I would promote healthcare in the private sector. There is no evidence, based on the cost of government healthcare systems already in place, that government can provide adequate and affordable access to care. Healthcare is a family matter not a civil matter.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

More than 22 million Americans are immigrants from foreign countries. We are a great melting pot and should welcome those who strengthen our nation. Federal law requires that aliens “not depend on public resources to meet their needs, but rather rely on their own capabilities and the resources of their families, their sponsors, and private organizations." Our current laws need to be enforced. Anyone who believes in a way of life that is not consistent with our constitution should not be permitted to enter. Those who immigrate here must be willing to assimilate into our culture, strengthen our society, learn to speak our language, and obtain employment or proof of support. Asylum seekers should be considered on a case by case basis.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am sinner saved by grace. I have personally experienced forgiveness from the Lord. Jesus is my Savior and the one in whom I find true hope. I believe the Bible is God's Word and the standard by which we should all live our lives.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have been endorsed by Conservative leaders and groups such as Conservative Republican Leadership Committee, Warren County Right to Life, and Ohio Citizens PAC - a Tea Party/Liberty PAC. I was a supporter of the Ohio Heartbeat Bill and was honored to be invited to the bill signing. The West Chester Tea Party requested I provide monthly legislative updates. I was invited to speak at a 2nd Amendment Rally on the Ohio State Capital steps and am a CCW holder. Being a small business owner, I have made understanding small business a centerpiece of my campaign and am aware of the issues faced by the business community. I demonstrate fiscal responsibility by living a debt free life.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am a student of the constitution of the United States and I take seriously my oath to uphold the constitution. As a 21 year Air Force Officer, now retired, I took the oath of office and served honorably. Honor, integrity, leadership, and service before self has been and remains a way of life for me. My service as a military officer and nurse practitioner has provided ample opportunity to listen to the concerns of others and speak for them. I have been required to develop solutions to medical and leadership challenges and take action. Healthcare, business ownership, corporate employment, and military service has given me the experience of working as a team, and working to balance the best interests of the military and the clients/customers I serve. With my demonstrated history of fighting for conservative values, I am a good fit for this conservative district.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

As the conservative in this race, I am honored to have the support of conservative mentors and leaders, including my pastor. I'm a strong proponent of school choice, including public school, private school and homeschool. Like our president, I am not a politician. My husband and I live a debt free life. By living within our means we have been able to pay off our home. The Ohio House is the "people's" house. I believe that the hard working constituents of District 52 (Fairfield Township, Liberty Township, West Chester and part of Sharonville) deserve to have someone in the state house who will legislate with them in mind. It would be an honor to faithfully serve the people of Butler County as their legislator as I faithfully served in my 21 years in the United States Air Force.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe in the individual right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd Amendment is the amendment that protects all other amendments. The words "shall not be infringed," are clear. I am a concealed carry holder and was a guest speaker at a gun rally at the Ohio State House. Restrictions can be made on those who have committed a crime with a firearm or who have made credible threats to commit crimes with a firearm, but limiting the rights of the law abiding gun owner is un constitutional.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Pro Life 2. Pro Second Amendment 3. Responsible spending and tax policy

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is offensive and is morally wrong. Though there have been isolated cases of domestic terrorism fueled by racism, such as the recent attack in El Paso, which impacts local security, racism is not a security threat to the United States as a whole. Local authorities work well to subdue threats, work with the FBI and alert the appropriate authorities. Local sheriffs and police departments partnering with federal authorities have kept any possible widespread domestic security threats at bay by containing any problem at the local level and keeping federal authorities informed.
