OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion is never an option.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The best way to reduce unemployment is to eliminate bureaucratic red-tape and excessive regulations so that employers can create more job opportunities.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government should not create jobs; the free enterprise market is the best job creator and will create the fairest and most productive economic system, which is the key to economic prosperity.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The Affordable Care Act is not the solution for adequate, affordable, and accessible healthcare coverage. Fostering a competitive, free-market system for healthcare coverage providers will create an economic environment for more affordable and accessible insurance options for all.

NATIONAL SECURITY

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Strongly Disagree

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Strongly Disagree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The personal ambition of man was the driving force behind America’s Founders carefully and intentionally designing a system of checks and balances that limits and safeguards the three distinct branches of government and prevents a single branch from exceeding its bounds.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a pro-life Christian.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have served as a Fort Bend County GOP Precinct Chair, was elected to two terms on the Fulshear City Council, and am active in the Republican Women's Club of Katy and the Fort Bend Republican Women's Club. I am the President-Elect of the Brazos River Rotary Club and volunteer with numerous organizations including Family Hope, Fulshear Police Foundation, and the Fulshear-Katy Chamber of Commerce. My husband and I are members of St. Faustina Catholic Church.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I graduated from the University of St. Thomas earning both a BBA and MBA in accounting before obtaining my law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. I studied abroad as an undergraduate at the University of Reading in England and then as a law student at the University of Innsbruck in Austria under the late United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. While on the Fulshear city council, I used my legal skills, training and business acumen to focus on developing policies to efficiently and effectively provide governmental services and infrastructure, spur economic development, improve local quality of life, and foster the values important to the residents. I fought to decrease property taxes by nearly 20% during my two terms.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Service to others and working to improve the quality of life for every family in House District 28 and our State is my motivation. Texan families need a strong voice in Austin who will listen to them, promote pro-life and pro-family values, and deliver results on the issues that affect their daily lives. Issues like property taxes, public education, flood mitigation, and border security. Helping this district--our community--and our great state reach our full potential is the driving force behind my passion for and commitment to public service.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Agree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree
