OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
This is a matter that needs input from health professionals; it has been my experience that government voting on this issue without the proper input creates unintended, yet future altering consequences. Former regulations in China and Ireland are examples of this
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Encourage entrepreneurship by reducing regulations and bureaucracy
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
None
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Disagree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Neutral
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Encourage competition by allowing consumers to purchase coverage regardless of where they reside
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Neutral
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Neutral
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Neutral
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Disagree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
No Answer
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The purpose was to insure that government did not control every aspect of a person's life.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised Catholic, and I still feel an affinity with the church; however, the betrayal of trust from members of the clergy left me with a bitter taste. I started an internal spiritual journey about eight years ago and I'm happy to say that it has brought me closer to God than I ever thought possible
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these elections:
2012 General Election, 2016 General Election, 2018 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
No Answer
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
The scale above does not fit with my views completely, being a libertarian
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Although I didn't receive a post secondary education, I believe that my years in the trucking and retail industries, including a decade of customer service experience, gives me a unique view on what the residents of Louisiana expect from their elected officials
E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
It has come to my attention that most people think of the state capital and the people in it seem to be a far away place, disconnected from the people whose taxes fund them. I would like to be a more accessible public servant (but don't worry if I don't answer right away, I might be driving my truck), willing to try and answer any question I can, and I will tell you if I don't have the answer. I would like to be the kind of public servant where people say, "She might not spend all my money away!" Finally, I would like to get in the trenches and get input from all sources to get to the bottom of Louisiana's problems and help create long term solutions, not just slap on redundant regulations
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support the death penalty.
Neutral
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
No Answer
2ND AMENDMENT
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Gambling should be limited to existing forms and should not be de-regulated or expanded.
