OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Neutral
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape, Incest, endangerment of the life of the mother
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
We have plenty of jobs available but a huge unskilled or under skilled work force. I think more job ready programs should exist in the schools. Monthly job fairs at unemployment offices would provide connections to employers. I also think a crack down on employers providing jobs to those ineligible to work in the US would open opportunities. Encourage small business development and growth.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government can control better infrastructure in cities and communities. It can also regulate interest and tax rates and cuts. Government can revisit the idea of a public works program.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Disagree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Agree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The primary cause of high insurance cost is high prescription drug cost. Regulations are need to cap extreme cost. Encourage low or no cost preventative care and penalize frivolous emergency care visits.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Disagree
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Neutral
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Neutral
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Disagree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Disagree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Disagree
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Mankind is flawed. Our system of separate and limit powers arose from the knowledge and forethought to protect our society from ourselves. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a strong born and raised Catholic. I am active in my Church and religious community. I am always glad to share my religious views with those who have a curiosity. I am also willing to stop and pray with any denomination when asked by an individual or when called by God to act. I am also respectful of differing religious beliefs. I was once told that I may be the only Jesus someone ever knows. So I try to live my life in a way reflective of my savior's teaching, fair and compassionate.
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these elections:
2012 General Election, 2014 General Election, 2016 General Election, 2018 Primary, 2018 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Somewhat Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I think that socialism is a nice theory that only works in science fiction shows like Star Trek. I believe in offering hand ups not hand outs. I think our social welfare should provide a path to self reliance. We should care for our abandoned elders and sick but encourage the able bodied to be self sufficient in the long term by offering short term assistance. I believed an informed active society is achievable and much needed. I do believe in gun safety solutions not second amendment limitations. I also believe Jesus Christ was the Savior of the World not the United States.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I studied both political science and criminology in college and grad school. I've volunteered on numerous campaigns. And most importantly I love my country, state, and community.

I'm a product of my environment. I am the youngest of three daughters. My parents have been married 52 years. I'm a loyal friend. I am a proud aunt of four nieces, dog mother, and fairy godmother to a host of children of friends. And a die hard Saints fan even when they were the Aints. I am a mathematics teacher at Westgate High School in New Iberia. I am also a member of the Cathedral of St. John's ACTS retreat team.
