I would support eliminating the state income tax. But it should be accomplished through a gradual process that will not put a huge strain on the Missouri budget. On the national level I believe we should institute a flat tax.

I would eliminate the national Department of Education. Every other National Department's budget should be trimmed back. Every national department, I would guess, has at least 20% of their budget that is not necessary.

I believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of the one and only God. I believe God created the world in 6 literal days. It was a perfect creation that was brought down by the disobedience of mankind, which brought death to the world. God loved humans so much that he sent Jesus Christ to the earth to live and die for the sins of mankind. Through the blood shed on the cross Jesus offers life to all who accept his word and follow him. Only God has the authority to set moral values that mankind should follow.

Voting should always have a physical paper trail that can be audited and verified. Almost all voting should be done in person with not more than a 2 or 3 day window to allow the vote to be taken. There should only be absentee balloting on a limited basis with no jurisdiction mailing out ballots without a legal request for a ballot. No voting machine or any electronic counting device should ever be connected to the internet to prevent any type of tampering.

They drive up the cost of energy which leads to higher cost of almost all consumer goods as well all utilities that citizens use. There is no clear evidence that fossil fuels are causing any change in the environment. There have been historic times in the past where carbon levels and temperatures were much higher here on earth before the use of fossil fuels.

I have been married to my wife for almost 42 years. My wife and I have raised 5 sons and 3 daughters. And now have 14 grandchildren. We have also been foster parents to 2 teenage children. My legislative priorities are to reverse the population exodus of rural Missouri. Government regulations are making it very difficult to operate a business in rural Missouri.

Very little restriction on gun ownership is necessary. Our citizens need to understand life is precious and that no other life should be taken unless their own life is threatened. With the exception of the death penalty which should be used for those who commit crimes that are deemed to qualify for the death penalty.
