OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Investments in job training outside of major four year universities is critical. I am in favor of not only creating career paths through technical/trade schools but also reimplementing "shop" classes back in high schools to train a skilled workforce. We must also create a more favorable legal and tax climate in Louisiana that promotes jobs and employment.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The government's has two, limited roles in the economy. The frst role should be to create a level playing field by creating a fair, low and broad tax base that doesn't pick winners and losers in the economy. Second it should provide basic, yet efficient services such as police, fire and infrastructure that would enable businesses and the overall economy to flourish. Private industry and free markets are what boost an economy, government should take a backseat to market forces.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would first like to look at auditing the 13 billion dollar budget of the Department of Health and Human Services. After Louisiana's seventh special session the department of health said they had no room for budget cuts even though their budget makes up nearly one third of the entire state's budget. If that is the case then an audit would need to occur to find room for efficiencies. Second, I would like to investigate the waist fraud and abuse of the Medicaid expansion program that has seen thousands of citizens obtain a benefit they do not qualify for. Finally, I would like to see trained nurses under certain cases be able to sign off on a patience record/visit. In rural areas where doctor's are less available, I believe highly educated nurses should be able to provide certain care that should enable faster, better and lower costs of healthcare.

NATIONAL SECURITY

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.

Agree

I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Strongly Disagree

If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.

Disagree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The nature of man wants to consolidate power in the hands of the few to oppress or influence the many. Man inherently wants to consolidate the power of society into as few entities as possible yet it takes the voice of the many to govern and create a thriving Democracy which is what our founding fathers understood and carefully created.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Methodist Christian that has accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I was baptized in his name and celebrate his love by following his teachings on a daily basis by being benevolent, charitable and loving.
