RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The history of all great nations started with good intentions but power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Our founders had the foresight to know this and created the greatest document in the world other than the Bible! The 3 branches of government lay the basis for checks and balances to protect any one branch from becoming to powerful.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am Catholic. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe we are placed on this earth to make it a better place than when we got here. Living is giving. When you live for a greater purpose other than yourself, that is true fulfillment.
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these elections:
2012 Primary, 2012 General Election, 2014 Primary, 2014 General Election, 2016 Primary, 2016 General Election, 2018 Primary, 2018 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I am a Military Veteran who served under my commander in chief Ronald Reagan. I have served our community as a Baton Rouge City Police Officer. I worked diligently in narcotics, homicide/robbery, SWAT, and Uniform Patrol protecting the rights of citizens. I now serve people protecting their rights afforded them in the constitution.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I began my public service career in 1985 when I served in the U.S. Army. I had the opportunity to serve overseas and here in the U.S. I realized then that we lived in the greatest country in the world. I continued my public service with the Baton Rouge City Police Department, where I retired from at the rank of Sergeant in 2007. I was able to work with all the diverse citizens that Baton Rouge offers. I saw first hand the good and the bad during times of crisis. Working on the SWAT team after Katrina, I saw the best and worst of humanity. I saw what great things can be accomplished in our community when we work together. I am now a small business owner and see the challenges that our community still faces. I believe my lifetime of service and being a small business owner gives me an unique perspective to be an effective legislator for District 68.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I have entered this campaign to continue my lifetime of public service. I want to be in a position to further help and positively influence more people. I go door to door every evening to hear what the people say and to get my message out. I believe that is the best way to find out what the people want. I believe in hard work and it will pay off. I demonstrated this in the Military and through the Baton Rouge Police Department. I supported my family while working full time with the police and going to law school part time. This is the type of dedication and work ethic I will display as your Representative.
