QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if the pregnancy threatens the mother life.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

In my view it is important to have a education system that prepares our children for the real world. We must have a educated and trained workforce so businesses that locate across the state are assured qualified workers. Not every child needs to go to college. We need to do a better job of getting our children into trade schools or 2 year universities. I believe we need to have programs available that provide training and education to those on government assistance that are capable of working. Everyone capable needs to be given the opportunity to contribute to society. Those that can work need to work.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Provide a ready workforce. Make the state a more tax friendly state to attract new businesses. Get our oil and gas companies back to work by competing on a level playing field with other states. By lowering taxes, all businesses will more inclined to do business in Louisiana again.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Competition is the key to lower healthcare. Competition will lower insurance cost, allow a choice by consumers on their doctors, and lower prescription drug cost.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.

Agree

I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Strongly Disagree

If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.

Strongly Disagree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Selfishness and greed.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have a strong christian background and know that God is first in my life. I believe that all things are provided by God. I have faith in the bible and believe that by studying it's content, I am more in touch with Jesus's teachings and therefore closer to God. My family attends church regularly and we know that being associated with a church family is important. God is included on all of my decisions and I will continue to ask for his guidance as an elected official.
