QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

School districts should be able to use taxpayer money for lobbying the state legislature.

Strongly Disagree

Remember the fanfare about the 2019 SB-2 Bill from Sen. Bettencourt to limit local government tax increases? The lobbyists confused and corrupted this legislation such that this year in RRISD, the "Voter Approval Rate" from the Texas Comptroller's spreadsheet, designed to limit tax increases, resulted in a "voter approval rate" that gave RRISD a 10.8% REVENUE INCREASE of $50.6 million, without voter approval. THAT is the work of LOBBYISTS working against taxpayers.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Currently, un-elected government bureaucrats exercise absolute authority over "public" education with feigned "input" from parents the bureaucrats neither heed nor respect. Using our tax dollars, over many decades they have lobbied the legislature to corrupt a "system" that concentrates power in their hands, and when the legislature imposes education code changes to reign in abuse, the District bureaucrats game the legal system and sidestep laws through sophistry (e.g. "lobbying" expenditures are called "informational", or "curriculum" is renamed "program" to sidestep bans on sexualizing kids or indoctrinating in racism, "gender denying medical malpractice" is called "gender affirming health care", big pharma drug pushing is called "mental health care", etc.). The system is horrifically corrupt and in RRISD last year, two parents I'm acquainted with were unlawfully arrested and deliberately forced to spend a night in jail by cowardly, woke Trustees acting under misguided legal counsel of District bureaucrats who harass and defame any elected Trustee who dares confront their lawlessness, greed and incompetence. RRISD has lost over 4,000 students in just a few years and lost more students again this year, while local charter and private schools are GAINING enrollment, and some even have waiting lists. The corrupt bureaucrats will destroy "public education" if they are not aggressively confronted and fired from positions of abusing power. Parents must control the education dollars for their kids in order to control education of their kids. This is a political hill to die on for the partisan political machine that currently controls public schools - it needs to be the same for parents who must take back control of education. As long as "public education" is in the Texas Constitution, it cannot be ignored. Homeschoolers will be OUTVOTED by young Christ-hating socialists the government school is producing if we don't correct the system.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Strongly Agree

I have, and will continue, to confront political religious hypocrites who have unlawfully established the HUMANIST RELIGION as the religion of government school; they boast in the righteousness of "inclusive education" while unlawfully excluding the World's Great Teacher from education. For over 300 years since the Mass. colony "Old Satan Deluder" public education law in 1647, Christ - the world's greatest teacher - was included in school. Now we have anti-Christ indoctrination and mass murder.

School districts should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

In my studied opinion, the ambition of big "progressive" government to redefine marriage is a humanist-religious assault against the world's ultimate moral authority - the Resurrected Christ. Marriage is a covenant defined and governed by God, not by politicians or judges. Christ Himself affirmed this. The drive to "redefine marriage" isn't "marriage", it's about governments' assertion that it is god. I was the most visible Travis County activist in 2005 promoting Texas marriage amendment

Students should not be allowed to pray in school.

Strongly Disagree

The First Amendment, which we've been told millions of times is the "anti-establishment of religion clause", is also the ANTI-PROHIBITION of religion clause. National propaganda media and government school has repeated "anti-establishment of religion", with the deliberate exclusion of "anti-prohibition", to the point where no one even knows "anti-prohibition" is in the First Amendment. They also distort Pres. Jefferson's 1802 letter citing "separation of church and state" as if that's law.

EDUCATION

What is the function of the local school board?

Local school Boards set "goals" and approve budgets and Bonds that drive tax increases. But the Superintendent has concentrated authority and is in reality hired by bureaucrats! This is why Superintendents largely ignore policy and direction of Boards, but rather, the bureaucrats tell the Board what the policies will be by controlling all the money, staff, consultants, and information. Boards and "the community" ONLY receive expert opinion and "facts" supporting what the bureaucrats demand.

Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?

Parents.

When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?

Never

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): Mathematics, Information Technology, Science, Political Activism, Personal Finances, Gender Identity, Physical Fitness, American History, Critical Race Theory, Language Arts, Art & Music, Vocational Learning, Sexuality, Foreign Language, Social Emotional Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, Information Technology, Science, Personal Finances, American History, Vocational Learning, Physical Fitness, Art & Music

American civics education should emphasize our nation's founding principles of liberty and equality.

Strongly Agree

Before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL), they must opt-in with written parental permission.

Strongly Agree

I would vote to abolish CSE and SEL, especially in all elementary grades.

The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.

Strongly Agree

It is illegal (unConstitutional) for the federal government to be involved in education.

I support the teaching of curricula (such as the 1619 Project, No Place for Hate, Second Step, etc.) that emphasizes slavery and racism as the foundation of American history.

Strongly Disagree

Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus of Nazareth, who honest people identify as the "World's Greatest Teacher", and ultimate moral authority, is exactly that. He is the foundation of moral education, which is to say, the foundation of education. As a degreed mechanical engineer (M.S. Texas A&M '86), I can say with certainty that teaching math and science to a sociopath without moral foundation only makes him a more dangerous criminal.

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Parents, at an age they believe is appropriate to the child

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- Physical and emotional health outcomes; contraceptive methods; consent; abstinence; sexual orientation and gender identity; human anatomy/the reproductive system; abortion methods and side effects; stages of pregnancy and fetal development; sex acts and pleasures of sex

No Sex Ed

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.

Strongly Agree

No school official should be involved in the sexual transitioning of a student, including the use of alternative names and pronouns.

Strongly Agree

Any government school staff that participates in counseling or coaching a minor into Gender Denying Medical Malpractice should face criminal prosecution

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

Which of the 11 objectives specified in the Texas Education Code is your highest priority?

Parents will be full partners with educators in the education of their children.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

A candidate's personal moral values should not be relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.

Strongly Disagree

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I lean in the direction of strict Constitutional interpretation and state's rights, and strong opposition to the "administrative state" (or "deep state"), along the lines of Justice Clarence Thomas and Congressman Ron Paul.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

There is a multitude of interesting factual articles, as well as slander, about my political life over the last 20 years, such as a successful lawsuit at the US Supreme Court: https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB123820648702763441. Another remarkable fact which propaganda media would never report on was my success in keeping a campaign promise in 2002 to the voters of the Northwest Austin Utility District #1 (same political subdivision that won VRA case at SCOTUS); after 7 long years of political battle, the MUD Board I led as president won the taxation lawsuit against Austin City and abolished the MUD property tax saving taxpayers at least $18 million (2009). Then in August 2014, a local Austin Democrat political boss sponsored a slanderous article alleging that I was a "child abuser" based on perjured court statements by a greedy ex-spouse; in spite of the slander I placed first among 6 candidates in the November 2014 City Council election and won the run-off in December. (The perjured statements were ordered to be removed by court order in 2015).

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Too many political candidates and office holders want to be well-liked and "nice", and they are terrified of slander by propaganda media. In my studied opinion, such people are worthless in office because they will never confront the evil that is destroying our Republic through the corruption of our civic institutions. It's likely most voters have never heard of a candidate who promised not just to "reduce" taxes, but ELIMINATE taxes, and I accomplished that - but it was more difficult than anyone would believe!! I know how that attack and destroy the passive-aggressive, highly skillful and manipulative "government of the bureaucrats, by the bureaucrats, for the bureaucrats" which now threatens our Republic. I ask for votes, and contributions at www.DonZimmerman.com

2ND AMENDMENT

Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.

Strongly Agree

I have a LTC and have completed serious professional training on firing a handgun with great accuracy. I will be advocating for elected Trustees to have the right to carry on all school property.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Under what circumstances (if any) should schools be allowed to require vaccinations?

None

I support mask mandates.

Strongly Disagree

Masks are by choice of parents and kids, not by mandates of unaccountable government bureaucrats.
