QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only to save the life of the mother.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
We must support small businesses and entrepreneurs in every way we can, ensure future generations get the education needed to succeed, decrease the regulation on businesses, and cut taxes to create more jobs.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The economy will be best supported by limiting the influence of government in the process. Government can be most effective by providing good education opportunities, removing regulation and providing a competitive tax structure.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
This is a complex topic that requires a longer response than is available in this form, but below are some important elements: * Improve public health by improving education, lifestyle choices, economic opportunity and environmental conditions to create a more healthy population. * Focus on preventative healthcare to reduce the reliance upon high cost treatments in an emergent care environment. * Allow health insurance to be purchased across state lines. * Transparency in pricing of medical services and pharmaceutical costs. * Expansion of HSA benefits.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Strongly Agree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Strongly Disagree
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Strongly Disagree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders of our great nation knew that absolute power corrupts absolutely. By God's guidance, they separated our government into three equal branches with limited power so that they would keep one another from becoming more powerful than the people.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. My faith in God and His guidance is the foundation I rely upon.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am a small business owner and community volunteer across the entire region. I founded Ft Polk Progress in 2005 where we began pulling together a team across our region to coordinate the efforts of the local, regional, State and Federal officials to support and protect Ft Polk, one of our state's largest employers. In addition it is home to over 8,300 of our country's military heroes. This experience has given me the opportunity to build teams with our elected officials and produce results for the military and people of Louisiana. I have also served on the Central LA Economic Development Alliance where we work to attract, retain and promote new business in our state, as well as build a trained and ready workforce. This experience has allowed me to best understand barriers to success in economic growth in our state. As the Chairman of the $270mil Rapides Foundation, we managed our partial ownership of Rapides Regional Hospital as well as $10mil in annual community health grants.
