QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
There is no circumstance under which abortion is necessary or should be allowed.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to reduce unemployment is economic development resulting from a commitment to free market prinicples that encourage competition, innovation, and a strong work ethic.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The primary role of government at all levels, from an economic persective, should always be to assist in creating an environment that enables businesses and individuals to thrive and prosper. Less regulation, common sense tax policies, tort reform, and infrastructure development are among the most important items that government should address to boost the economy.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The key to affordable and high quality health care is healthy competition among service providers that provides consumers with increased choices and options, and less governmental interference and regulation. We must ensure that high quality health care is readily available to the most vulnerable in our society, including children, the disabled, and the elderly. However, we must reform current welfare and entitlement programs in order to reduce governmental dependency and incentivize hard work and the pursuit of the American Dream.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Strongly Agree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Strongly Disagree
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Strongly Disagree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders realized that all men are fallen sinners(Romans 3:23) with a natural inclination to fulfill their evil, fleshly desires. The separation of powers in our Constitution provides a system of checks and balances to prevent one branch of government or one tyrannical leader from becoming too powerful and abusive.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again Christian who acknowledges that Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God the Father whose atoning death on the cross and subsequent resurrection made salvation available to all those who place their faith in Him. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. I try to live in obedience to God's commands and hope to become more like Christ every day. I am a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at FBC Pollock, Louisiana, and I am an active member of the Gideons International. I truly believe that serving as state representative is God's Will for my life, and I view this opportunity as a ministry opportunity and divine calling.
ABOUT YOU
I voted in these elections:
2012 Primary, 2012 General Election, 2014 Primary, 2014 General Election, 2016 Primary, 2016 General Election, 2018 Primary, 2018 General Election
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
My conservative beliefs can be validated by reviewing numerous public posts on my campaign Facebook page at Gabeforstaterep. The endorsements I have received thus far from multiple conservative organizations should further validate my conservative political ideology.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My educational attainment certainly appears to be conducive to success as a state representative. I have a B.S. in Public Administration from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA and a Masters of Business Administration degreee from LA Tech Universtiy in Ruston, LA. I graduated with honors from both institutions. My experience as a small business owner with over 20 years working in the insurance and construction industries has also prepared me to be an effective leader and legislator. In order to survive and prosper as a small business owener you must operate with efficiency, effectiveness, and a degree of toughness and resiliency. My years of working as an independent claims adjuster under extremely stressful and challenging conditions has taught that the best course of action is always to find solutions instead of making excuses, as is common in today's political realm.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
My wife and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that running this race for state representative is God's Will for our lives and we are working relentlessly to win this election on October 12, 2019. No one will fight harder or work longer for his consituents than I will. It is very important to me that the voters of District 22 and the state of Louisiana know that I will never compromise my integrity or values for the sake of political gain or personal enrichment.
