What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
I believe we need to allocate more resources to technical/vocational schools in our area, and start presenting students with these options as soon as they enter high school. This way we could ensure there are enough trained workers to fill positions in our area's most crucial industries, many of which require technical training rather than a four year college degree. I believe this would also prevent many cases of drug addiction by providing students with a vision and hope for their future at an early age, and thus reducing the number of drug-addicted unemployed. This would be a way to prevent drug-addiction, rather than fighting the uphill battle of trying to treat it once it has already begun.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
I believe government should, for the most part, seek to get out of the way of free enterprise. Most businesses are over-taxed and over-regulated, making it difficult for our economy to thrive.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Health insurance reform would be a good place to start. I believe insurance companies may better serve patients by adopting a mutual structure in which the policyholders own the company. Such a structure would ensure insurance companies are more accountable to policyholders than they are now. Other changes, like the ability for insurance companies to compete across state lines, would also encourage competition and drive down prices for policyholders. These are just a couple short examples of ways we might improve our healthcare system. As a physician who has practiced for 38 years, I have many more ideas for healthcare reform in our state. Health and welfare represented almost half of all of Louisiana's expenditures in 2018, to the tune of about $13 billion, which is more than the roughly $10 billion of tax revenue we collected. We need a physician in the legislature who can make sense of healthcare legislation and ensure we are spending the taxpayers' money efficiently.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He’s ultimately in control. I believe He is the Son of God, our Heavenly Father. I believe He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and He will come again. I believe that many of the problems we have in our world today are caused by the breakdown of the family and that living the commandments of God in our homes, not lip service at church or in our community, is the medicine we need to heal. I believe strongly in freedom of religion and that each of us must ultimately live according to the dictates of our own conscience, and I love that our Constitution gives us that right and responsibility.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Before becoming a physician, I worked in many of our district's largest industries. I put myself through medical school by working as a roofer, plumber, electrician, and surveyor, among other things. After becoming a physician, I have recognized the need for, then managed the organization and construction of, numerous businesses in our area including Leesville Rehabilitation Hospital, Doctor's Hospital at Deer Creek, Deer Creek Imaging, The Woodlands Healthcare Center, and Green Ridge Apartments, to name a few. I thoroughly understand the problems faced by our local businesses and individuals alike. During my time as a physician, I have also gone to Baton Rouge to fight for or against bills. I have seen firsthand how our state government can be a force for good, but have also seen instances where it has failed the people of our state. I know how to assemble and manage teams of experts to solve complex problems, and I can put this skill to work in our legislature to get things done.
