QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
This is a very difficult question to address. I know there should be a "YES or NO" answer. Before you judge me on my answer, first answer it for yourself and please think of all different things that could have happened for a woman to be in this place and time in her life. As a male I can never know the feeling of giving birth, only a woman by birth herself can give birth. I know without a doubt that life begins when the egg is fertilized (ie. conception)!. If man takes that life in anyway he is killing a human. I can say that I would not take abortion off the table in some cases but it would have to be were the mother was going to die and the child was knowingly going to die. There are other circumstances, that I not being in the medical field do not know about, when the decision will have to be made at that moment in time. I can honestly say I hope to never be put in this situation.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Tax money should not be used for this at all.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
I am opposed to abortion. It is the taking of human life. Now it is not my right to judge others. Each case is different and all matters must be weighed individually. This is not between Roe v. Wade nor men, It is between a woman and God. 20 weeks or 20 seconds it is the same.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
I have chosen Neutral for the reason of it happens and is a part of the comfort treatment of those dying. I know first hand as I watched my father pass while battling Mesothelioma. To what extent I have no way of knowing. I know the two are not the same but we help our pets stop the suffering with out even being able to talk to them, This is done only by the person dying and no other.
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Yes
Again I am opposed to abortion. These types of chemical pills should be used, if at all, under the care and supervision of a qualified physician.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
A person's religious and/or moral beliefs is personal and should not be infringed by the government. As for Businesses there non existent without people so the same applies.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Separation of Church and Government. Why not ask when can Churches shut down Government.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
One of America's founding reasons was people fleeing government control of religion. Look at our Constitution and God is called on many times in it.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
(C). Health service insurance needs to be affordable and available to anyone that wants to purchase. This should be separated from any and all other insurances to minimize the influence of other policies. Very strict guidelines have to be in place and enforced. (D). In time. (A). In my opinion this is what will come to pass.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
NEVER
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Strongly Disagree
This should not even be a question asked. The Government should not have any way to do this. That is called communism, socialism or what ever you would like to call it. If or when the government gets to that point we are no longer a Capitalistic Society.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Tax changes should first start with spending cuts. As long as spending goes in the way of more, more, more taxing will as well to keep up.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
The years that the government pays for now is in great need of a complete overhaul. The Constitution does not say that the government pay for education. Sec. 15. Education. The people have a right to the privilege of education, and it is the duty of the State to guard and maintain that right.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
It should be the parents and students choice.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
The government at no time has the right to keep anything from a student's parent.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
As long as civility and order is kept everyone should have the right to express their concerns.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
If it is department policy and the officer is within his/her rights then as long as the officer has not broken the law then immunity is justified.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Restriction on legal gun owners will not protect public safety in any way.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
Yes
Also for girls competing on boys sports teams.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Federal - To protect and up hold The Constitution Of The United States. Protect the borders and America from foreign attacks. The list goes on. State - To protect and up hold The Constitution Of North Carolina. draft and pass state budget, draw up bills and make laws. Their purpose goes on but that is only a start.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Reading what I have stated here in should verify.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am not a polished career politician, nor a yes men when it comes to speaking on my beliefs. I will fight and stand up for what is right and the people. I am a Life Member and have been endorsed by the NRA in the past. I am a Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor. I am a Davidson County Native. As Senator my goals are to shrink government and remove restrictions from individuals as well as industry. To strive in making the government more user friendly when you have to do business directly with different departments ie. DMV, Wildlife, Social Services, etc.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
The basic tenets of critical race theory, or CRT, emerged out of a framework for legal analysis in the late 1970s and early 1980s created by legal scholars Derrick Bell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Richard Delgado, among others. As read from edweek.org . The above statement should give everyone the answer about this. This is just a theory,
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
GOD, FATHER, HOLY SPIRIT.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
The voters voted to change the Constitution to make photo identification an amendment, so there is no question. It can't be unconstitutional if it has been added to change the Constitution. As a Senator I will fight to uphold our Constitution.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Paper ballots to start with. Do away with any type of over the internet voter transactions until after the votes are certified.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The people that keeps racism on the front page is the threat. Most people don't believe this to be something that holds merit.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
I know we can't have our cake and eat it to. There is a fine line between too much and not enough. I do not like government over regulating anything but we have to protect "Mother Nature" we only have one. So (A) first
