QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be outlawed with no exceptions.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to empower businesses to create good paying jobs by cutting red tape and reducing regulations. We must also get our fiscal house in order and reduce taxes to make Louisiana a more attractive state to do business in.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The best thing government can do to boost our economy is to get out of the way. We must reduce taxes, cut the red tape and unleash the power of our job creators. State government also has a role to play in making smart investments in economic development where a return on that investment is tracked and success achieved.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The key to having healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all begins by repealing there Affordable Care Act and returning to a free-market approach. We must allow purchasing insurance policies across state lines. Competition leads to higher quality and drives down prices, increasing access to quality care and coverage. Government programs must be a safety-net, to protect those most vulnerable among us.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Strongly Agree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Strongly Disagree
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Strongly Disagree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our Founders recognized that tyranny comes as a result of consolidated power. They created a system of government that includes checks and balances to prevent this from occurring. With separate but equal branches, power is spread out in order to protect individual liberty.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a spirit-filled Christian that believes the God of the Bible is the same God today. My Faith guides every decision I make and everything I do is to bring glory to God.

Very Conservative

I am honored to be endorsed by conservative leaders and organizations across Louisiana who vouch for my bold conservative positions. As Mayor, I never raised taxes in my town and never grew government. We operated within our means. I also have spearheaded legislation to strengthen the Louisiana election code. I have also been an active member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My experience as a mayor, small-business owner and resident of district 28 equip me to represent my community in the legislature. I have a firm understanding of governmental budgets & operations that is key to navigating state government. As a successful small-business owner, I've seen the issues facing our job creators and I am prepared to begin addressing them on day one.
